Margaret left arrogantly. Meanwhile, Helen turned around and left in the opposite direction without hesitation.
Chandler waited for a long while until most of the students had left the school. However, he hadn't seen Helen yet. So, Chandler called her.
An automated voice sounded, "Hello. The number you've called can't be reached at the moment…"
Chandler frowned and thought it was weird. However, he still didn't leave and waited at the school entrance. He finally called home when night came. Then, Harper told him that Helen had returned home long ago.
Chandler went back hurriedly with a lot of questions in his mind.
He knocked on Helen's door several times, but there was no answer. So, he quickly said, "I know you're inside. Can you open the door? I have something to tell you."
There was still no answer.
Chandler knocked on the door again, and it was suddenly opened. Helen showed her face without any emotion.
"What?" she asked.
Chandler could clearly tell Helen was upset, so he asked, "Is something bothering you?"
"No," Helen replied bluntly.
It was a simple answer, but there was no emotion in the tone. Chandler asked again, "Why didn't you wait for me when class was over? I've been waiting for you at the entrance."
When Chandler heard that, he fell into a dilemma. He realized that he didn't know Helen that well. He didn't even know what she liked or disliked.
When Chandler got downstairs the next morning, he asked Harper, "Is Helen awake? You should go wake her up!"
Harper quickly said, "Ms. Helen left early in the morning. She said she had to do her work at school, so she didn't even have much breakfast."
Chandler was stunned when he heard that Helen had left.
He wondered if she was still in a bad mood.
