Helen's intense stare took Samantha aback. She quickly offered, "I'll come with you."

They walked out one after the other until they reached the end of the hallway.

Helen stopped and got straight to the point. "Was it you who locked me in the restroom yesterday?"

Samantha's expression changed instantly, but she refused to admit it. "I don't know what you're talking about. I didn't do it."

Helen scoffed. "You can keep denying it, but we both know the truth. I've heard there are security cameras in the main conference room corridor. I could talk to the counselor and get them to check the footage. Then, everything will be clear, right?"

Samantha stumbled and almost fell. She stammered, "Y-You…"

After struggling to get a coherent sentence out, she finally confessed, "I… I admit it was me. I…I just wanted to teach you a lesson. I didn't mean to hurt you, and besides, you're fine standing here now, right?"

Helen crossed her arms and said coldly, "So, you're admitting it!"

Then, she pulled out her phone and showed Samantha that their conversation was being recorded.

Samantha's face went pale. "You… You…"

Helen paused the recording and saved it. "You know, there's actually no surveillance in the corridor. I just said that to see if you'd come clean. But now, I've got the evidence…"

Samantha instinctively reached out and wanted to grab the phone. "Give it to me."

Before Helen could finish, Samantha quickly interjected, "There won't be a next time, I promise. Please, don't release the recording."
