Helen's hand froze in mid-motion, and she quickly said, "That's not what I meant. It's just a minor issue, and I can handle it. Besides, I do need you. I need you more than anyone."

Seeing her distressed expression, Chandler hurriedly pulled her into an embrace. "Alright, I was just teasing. You handle this matter first. If you can't handle it, then let me know."

She nodded. "Got it."

By the time she finished her meal, it was nearly 1:00 am. Fortunately, there was no curfew at Glendale University, so Helen returned to her dormitory.

Early the following day, Callie was surprised to see Helen, who seemed to have appeared out of nowhere. "Helen, when did you return?"

Helen explained, "I returned late, so I didn't wake you up."

Callie nodded and continued, "You're so inspiring and spend every day in the library. When will I ever have your level of discipline?"

Helen gathered her textbooks and got to her feet. "Let's go. It's time for class. Professor Gerard's lecture is up first."

When they arrived at the classroom, Samantha was chatting with her classmates. When she saw Helen, the smile on her face froze.

One of the classmates chatting with Samantha greeted Helen enthusiastically, "Good morning, Helen."

Helen replied with a smile, "Good morning."

The classmate continued, "You weren't feeling well yesterday. Are you feeling better today?"

She replied calmly, "I'm fine. Who told you I wasn't feeling well?"

"Samantha said you weren't feeling well, so you left rehearsal early."

After hearing that, Helen glanced at Samantha. The expression in Helen's eyes spoke volumes and it made Samantha feel uneasy.

Yet, Samantha still said, "I noticed you didn't come back to rehearsal, so I thought you weren't feeling well and went home to rest."

Helen gave a noncommittal sound as she intentionally stretched it out.

Then, she stepped forward and whispered something that only the two of them could hear. "Are you sure there's nothing else? Or perhaps you didn't do something else?"

With that, Gerard returned to his office. The students exchanged confused glances. They had no idea what had just happened.

Callie stepped forward and asked, "Helen, what's up with Professor Gerard? Why did he cancel class out of the blue?"

Helen shrugged. "I have no idea."

"Well, I don't mind if he skips class. I could take a nap in my dormitory. So, are you still heading to the library?"

Helen shook her head. "No, I have something to take care of."

Then, she approached Samantha. "Can I have a quick word with you?"

Samantha felt uneasy upon hearing that. It was her first time doing something wrong, and she worried Helen might hold it against her later.

"Can't we talk about it here?" she replied nervously.

Helen leaned in and stared into her eyes. "Are you sure you want to discuss it here?"
