"I'm going to answer a call." Chandler took his cell phone and walked toward an unoccupied pavilion.

"Go ahead." Helen was secretly delighted, as she could eat to her heart's content without worrying about her image.

As soon as Chandler left, Helen grabbed a dessert and scooped a large spoonful, sending it to her mouth. A contented smile instantly appeared on her face as she hummed in delight.

Most of the dishes on the table were exquisitely plated and tasted average, but the desserts were truly amazing.

When she was about to have another scoop, a man's deep voice rang out above her head, "Please have the pastry chef prepare another two signature desserts and send them to this private room."

Looking up, she saw Ronald staring at her maliciously. He boldly wrapped his arm around the tiny waist of a scantily dressed woman standing next to him. Apparently, they were very intimate.

When she thought of Samantha lying weakly and unyieldingly on the hospital bed, she couldn't help but feel nauseous and instantly lose her appetite.

Yet, Ronald was very enthusiastic. "You may come often if you like the food here. I happen to be an investor of this restaurant. Everything will be free of charge for your future visits."

Helen's expression turned cold in an instant. Putting down the dessert in her hands and pushing it far away from her, she said indifferently, "There's no need. I'm not a beggar who can't even afford a meal."

Then, with her elbows on the table and her chin supported by interlocking fingers, she looked up at him with a stern glare.

"Mr. Lindvall, rather than being kind to an irrelevant woman here, you should pay more attention to your lover."

Ronald had no idea about Samantha being pregnant. He instinctively looked at the woman next to him, thinking that Helen was minding her.

His eyes gleamed with a hint of guile as he pinched the woman's chin and said teasingly, "Tell Ms. Spencer if I'm being considerate to you or not."

The woman smiled coyly. "Everyone in Glendale is well informed that you know women the best, so of course, you're considerate."

With a satisfied look, Ronald turned to Helen and raised his eyebrows smugly. "Did you hear that?"

As they stared at each other, their gazes were like two invisible swords fighting in the air. Neither of them was willing to back down.

After a moment of confrontation, Chandler lowered his eyes and sized up Ronald contemptuously from top to bottom.

With a sneer, Chandler said, "Does she like your sweet talk and unfaithfulness? Or does she like your weak body resulting from high libido at such a young age?"

"What nonsense are you spitting?" Enraged, Ronald clenched his fist tight.

Chandler did not panic as he maintained his smile and replied slowly, "What's wrong? Are you angry because I guessed it right?"

Baffled, Ronald was at a loss of words as anger overwhelmed him.

You could criticize a man's looks, height, or body build, but you could never say that he was weak…
