Chandler's question was tricky. Regardless of whether Ronald answered yes or no, he did fly into a rage out of embarrassment. He still lost it.

The manager and the waiter had been standing aside with their heads hung low. After Ronald and the woman left, the manager went up to apologize to Chandler, "Mr. Newton, I'm so sorry that your meal with Ms. Spencer was interrupted.

"This meal will be on the house, and I will get someone to send a bottle of good wine over. Please don't take the matter to heart."

Chandler had no intention to make things difficult for her, so he lowered his gaze and nodded in agreement.

The manager grinned in delight. "Then, I shall leave you two to enjoy your meal."

Afterward, she hinted at the waiter behind her, and they both left in a hurry.

Helen had been observing the manager's performance and found that she was very smart.

She couldn't help but praise, "This manager is discerning. She knows that the consequence of offending you is worse than that of offending Ronald."

At the sight of his expression, Helen understood him right away and waved her hands, rejecting him. "I didn't take it to heart."

Feeling that something was wrong, she quickly added, "However, a scum like him should be taught a lesson."
