"Hello, what's the matter?" Julian answered, his naturally deep and rugged voice masking his current emotions.

"Hey, Mr. Randle, it's Madam Newton. I heard Kiara is seriously ill, and I happen to know two excellent doctors. If it's convenient, I can bring them over later to check on her," Priscilla offered, trying to sound accommodating.

"That won't be necessary," Julian replied curtly. "She's already recovered."

After a pause, he added with a hint of irony, "Well, we actually have you to thank for that, Mrs. Newton. Helen mentioned she assisted only because of Chandler."

Did Helen end up saving Kiara? But she seemed quite annoyed with her earlier on the phone. Why would she still offer her assistance?

After a moment of surprise, Priscilla swiftly composed herself.

"I'm relieved she's received treatment. You can't imagine how concerned Mr. Newton Senior and I were. You know, I've always thought of Kiara as my future daughter-in-law!" Priscilla remarked ingratiatingly.

"He's gone," Shawn remarked, releasing Owen's hand in resignation.
