Upon hearing a rustling sound, Chandler stepped out of his room and found Helen. Without delay, he took off his coat and draped it over her shoulders.
"Aren't you supposed to be a doctor? How did you forget to dress warmly in this cold weather? Isn't that common sense?" Chandler quipped.
Helen grinned mischievously. "But I have you for that, don't I?"
"And what if I'm not around?" Chandler teased back.
"Then it'll be my little secret," Helen joked boldly, causing Chandler's expression to momentarily darken.
She quickly tried to lighten the mood. "Okay, okay, I was just kidding. I promise I'll take better care of myself from now on. Are you satisfied now, Mr. Newton?"
"Just barely." Chandler frowned slightly before he broke into a smile again. "So why are you here so late? Could it be that Mr. Charlie was onto something? It seems someone is quite eager to marry me, wouldn't you agree?"
"Absolutely not!" Helen huffed, turning her face away. "I'm here to find Captain Whitmore!"
"Larry?" Chandler asked. "What do you need him for?"
"This is between Captain Whitmore and me, so stay out of it!" Helen retorted as she marched over.
Without hesitation, she pushed open the door to Larry's room and entered.
Inside the room, Reggie had just undressed and was preparing for bed. Startled by Helen's sudden entrance, he swiftly grabbed the blanket and tightly wrapped himself in it, retreating to the corner of the bed.
In his haste to cover up, Reggie inadvertently exposed Larry's bare torso to Helen.
Though it was just his upper body, it was enough to make the modest Larry blush with embarrassment. He kept shooting Reggie pleading looks, silently imploring him for help.
Meanwhile, Reggie stole a glance at Helen, his fingers tightening around the blanket.
"If you're willing to cooperate, just blink. Otherwise, I might have to slit your throat!" Helen quipped, miming a threatening gesture at her neck.
Larry's eyes widened in shock. Did he even have a say in this situation?
Suddenly, Helen let out a chuckle. "I was just pulling your leg. If you're not interested, you're welcome to stay here. I already have enough problems and don't need the police on my tail. Let's try to understand each other, alright?"
With that, Helen fixed her gaze on Larry, waiting for his response.
Larry took a moment to contemplate; he knew he had to leave this place before making his next move. Thus, without wasting any more time, he blinked decisively, signaling his agreement.
Acting swiftly, Helen grabbed her acupuncture needle and started the treatment.
Minutes later, Larry had fully regained his strength. He jumped off the bed and proceeded to perform a series of military drills.
