"Captain Whitmore, don't forget our agreement," Helen reminded Larry firmly.

"I'm a man of my word," Larry responded with his characteristic cold demeanor. "But your friend got me suspended. Even if I wanted to assist you, I might not have the authority."

"Oh, right. I completely forgot about Sebastian," Helen muttered to herself, realizing belatedly. "I should have gone directly to Mr. Puckett. Then I wouldn't need to let you go."

Larry was taken aback. "Seriously, Ms. Spencer? I'm standing right here. Could you exercise a little more discretion?"

"It's okay, we know each other well; it doesn't matter if you hear," Helen reassured Larry, patting his shoulder before walking away.

"Hey, what's that supposed to mean?" Larry called after her.

"It's nothing," Helen replied. "I'll have Sebastian handle the search for Shawn."

"And what about me?" Larry asked, his expression darkening.

"Find something to occupy yourself with. I don't have time to deal with you," Helen said dismissively, waving her hand as she walked away.

"Now that I know Archie Cromwell's true identity, aren't you concerned I might arrest him?" Larry cautioned.

"Fine, Captain Whitmore. Go ahead and arrest him. But aren't you someone who prides yourself on justice? I'm curious to see how you rationalize abusing your authority." Helen briefly halted in her steps without turning back.

"What exactly are you insinuating?" Larry narrowed his eyes, his gaze growing more menacing.

"What I mean is, even if Shawn is flying under the radar, he's just a doctor. What serious harm could he possibly do?

"There's really no point in pursuing him. After all, he's only practicing medicine and saving lives. Plus, given his exceptional medical expertise, no one would dare to harm him.

"If the police were to target Shawn, the very people you want him to save would be at risk of death!"

With that, Helen walked away without glancing back at them.

"How did you know it was me?" she asked, surprised.

"Not many people have this number. Those who do are typically early risers. At this hour, you're the only one who'd likely call," Sebastian explained.

"I understand," Helen replied, getting right to the heart of the matter. "A friend of mine has been abducted in the black market. I need your assistance for a city-wide search. Can you help?"
