Whimey felt a chill run down her spine under Noel’s stare as she recalled that night when she drunkenly took the initiative.

“Wette is just joking.” Whitney said as she pulled vette along. “We’re done eating. We should get going”

Before Twite could protest that she hadn’t finished her meal, Whitney dragged her out the door.

Thomas squinted at Noel “Why do feel like Whitney’s afraid of you?!

Noel walked toward their table. “Why do I feel like Yvette’s words were meant for you?”

Once outside the restaurant, Whitney let out a breath of relief.

“What’s the rush? I wasn’t done eating.” Wette complained. “Are you afraid I’ll get angry at that scumbag? Well, I won’t, In fact, it’s because he’s around that I’ll eat even more!”

“I’m sorry, Yvette.” Whitey looked apologetically at Vette. “I should’ve told you earlier. That man from that night was Norl.”

Wette’s eyes widened in shock, unable to speak.

“You thinkin’s ridiculous,right?” Whitney said, feeling disheartened.

How could this not be ridiculous? She randomly picked a man, and he turned out to be Damian’s cousin

Yvette silently pave her a thumbs–up, expressing admiration.

The next morning, everything was as usual. Whitney brewed a cup of coffee and brought it to Damian.

“The dinner ended late last night. I didn’t want to disturb your rest, so I didn’t go to see you” Damian placed the coffee aside and pulled her into his embrace. “Don’t be mad”

In the past, what Whitney had loved most was Damian’s embrace, especially the woody scent that lingered on his clothin.

However, now, she subtly pulled away. “I’m not mad. Yette came back from a business trip yesterday. We had dinner together.”

Damian furrowed his brows for a moment at her response but quickly returned to his usual tone. “That’s good to beat, Let’s have dinner together tonight

Whitney nodded, then left the C’s office

While she was sorting through some documents, she remembered she had forgotten to deliver a contract to the architecture departiment

She quickly retrieved it.

The architecture department was on a lower floor in the building. The thought that she would be coming here to work in a few days made her steps much lighter.

“Let me introduce everyone to our new colleague.”

As Whitney entered the architecture department, she saw in Clarke, the department manager, standing in the middle. Beside him was Rachel, who was wearing a pink office

“Hi, everyone. I’m Rachel Yanes, the assistant architect with Team & in the architecture department. I’m looking forward to working with all of you!

Shebeaned a sweet smile, one so innocent that, if whimey hadn’t seen her true side, she might have been chained by it.

Rachel had started working at Howard Group and even in the architecture department. Didn’t Damian say there was only one open position?.

“Ms Spencer.” than spotted Whitney and rushed over with a polite smile. “Sorry to trouble you with delivering the contract.”

No one dared to disrespect Damian’s secretaries.
