She finally managed to hail a cab after a few minutes, but traffic was heavy, and it took longer than expected to get back to the office. 

There were indeed several documents on the desk Whitney walked over and realized there were many evaluation reports, dozens of them in total. She called Amy to ask which one she should take, but the call went unanswered. 

With no choice, Whitney began reviewing each report.
