Yvette turned and saw Damian holding her arm.
“What did you just say about Whitney? She’s missing?”
She glanced at him briefly, then shifted her gaze to Noel who stood next to them.

went back to change her clothes over an hour ago. I tried calling her, but it’s not connecting. I’m worried something happened to her.”
Noel frowned slightly. Damian quickly tried calling Whitney’s phone, but all he heard was a mechanical
voice saying, “The number you’ve dialed is unreachable. Please try again later.”
Since he couldn’t reach her, Damian’s face grew serious. “Is she avoiding me again?”
‘Mr. Howard, I think you know very well why she’d want to avoid you. But right now, whether she’s
avoiding you or if something else happened, we don’t know,” Yvette replied coldly and strode off in the direction of the lodges.
Damian pressed his lips together, then quickly followed her.
“Aren’t you going to check on her?” Thomas looked at Noel, surprised he hadn’t moved.
“My role isn’t appropriate for this, Noel replied evenly.
Plus the Quinn family’s Manor had sufficient security, so Whitney shouldn’t be in danger.
Just then, the Manor manager, Owen Caldwell, hurried past them, instructing his team. “Make sure to increase patrols tonight. Our guests are all VIPs, we can’t afford any accidents!”
Thomas grabbed Owen by the arm. “What’s going on? Did something happen?”
Earlier that day, Owen had seen them with Caleb and knew they were VIPs, so he couldn’t hide the news.
“We just received a police alert that a killer has escaped into the mountain. If you see anyone suspicious, please call the police immediately. But don’t worry, the Manor is very secure. We’ve already enhanced patrols.”
But before he could finish, Noel was already running toward the lodges.
‘No way. This can’t be a coincidence…” Thomas muttered under his breath and realizing Yvette had gone In the same direction, he took off at a sprint.
By the time Yvette and Damian reached Whitney’s cabin, Noel and Thomas had also arrived.
Whitney’s room was lit, indicating someone was inside.
