After what happened with Priscilla, Waldo had developed a subtle resistance toward the women of the Mcbride clan.

If Yuna showed even the slightest hint of scheming toward him, he swore he would kick her out of Capitalia after the Autumn Hunt.

Yuna replied, “If Your Highness already knows that I used to frequent your manor, then you should also know I have no interest in you. Every time I came here, it was only to visit Priscilla. I’m sure this isn’t something you would have failed to uncover.”

Her words were blunt and direct, making Waldo flush red with embarrassment, as though he’d just been thoroughly slapped in the face.

She added, “Your Highness, I say this only to clear my name, not to humiliate you. I hope you can understand.”

Everything about Yuna was completely devoid of feminine charm. She clasped her fists together in a man’s salute.

Yuna said, “I understand that many women must have tried various tricks to get close to you. That’s probably why you’re so guarded around me now. But

I came to rely on you solely for my future, my career. There’s truly no hidden motive. If you don’t believe me, I will prove it.”

She stepped aside and picked up a cup.

Before Waldo could guess what she was about to do, she suddenly slammed the cup onto the floor, shattering it, and grabbed a shard, aiming it at her

face.

She moved extremely fast. She was ruthless and without hesitation.

“Miss Mcbride!” Hughie, standing at the door, was terrified. He tried to stop her, but it was too late.

Waldo grabbed the wooden board on the table and hurled it with all his might.

At the very last second, it knocked the shard from her hand.

Still, the piece had grazed her skin, leaving a thin red line across her face.

Fortunately, it was shallow, nothing that wouldn’t fade with time.

“I believe you. That’s enough! There’s no need for this!” Waldo’s heart was still racing. He had never met a woman like her before.

Yuna didn’t care about her face at all. It was truly refreshing. She shattered every expectation he had about women.

Hughie let out a huge sigh of relief.

Only Yuna, even after all of that, could still smile with composure and calm. “If Your Highness is willing to believe I have no ulterior motives toward you, then shall we discuss the formation layout for the Autumn Hunt?”

“I heard there’s a powerful new woman in the Waldo House. An expert in riding and archery!”

Jessica was nibbling on snacks when Monica came rushing back with the latest gossip.

Monica added, “These past few days, Prince Waldo has been taking her everywhere. They’re practically inseparable.”

“Oh? Sounds exactly like how he was with Priscilla back then.” Jessica raised an eyebrow, still focused on her food.

Monica nodded vigorously. “Exactly! Just like with Priscilla. And get this. Her name is Yuna Mcbride. Supposedly, she’s Priscilla’s older sister!”

She couldn’t help but mutter, “He really does have a thing for women from that family.”
