Chapter 242
Chapter 242
At once, Priscilla was seized by a deep, paralyzing fear.
Priscilla thought to herself. ‘I have no idea what Jessica is planning, but I just know it must be something utterly terrifying.’
That stab of hers crippled Garbisch for life, cutting off the Yates family’s bloodline forever.
Jessica stabbed her, too. Priscilla thought that was already the most outrageous thing she could possibly do.
That single stab left two deep, gashing scars across her chest.
For Priscilla, those scars were a lifelong humiliation, something she would never be able to forget.
Priscilla thought to herself, ;What else could Jessica possibly want? What is she planning now?‘
At that moment, Jessica abruptly turned away from Priscilla and strode to the King, dropping to her knees with a heavy thud.
“Ms. Yates, you…” Andrew glanced between her and the King. Though he seemed to have caught her meaning, unease still gnawed at him.
The King remained silent, his face darkening with barely contained fury.
Jessica pleaded, “Your Majesty, this woman has harmed your loyal subject and tarnished his family’s good name. I earnestly beg Your Majesty to uphold justice for me.”
With that, she remained prostrate, never rising again.
The King’s face darkened with barely contained fury.
Not a soul dared utter a word.
Even Adele, though burning with anxiety, had now fallen silent.
Jessica had made her stance crystal clear, only if justice was served would she wholeheartedly save Waldo.
But Garbisch had been wounded in the most dreadful way imaginable, a blow that effectively ended their family line. People wondered what the King could possibly do to truly and completely quell the burning resentment in Jessica and her brother’s hearts.
All eyes finally settled on the King.
Garbisch moved to stand beside Jessica. Without a word, he fell to the ground just as she did.
He vowed to himself, ‘Whatever Jessica chooses to do, as her brother, I’ll stand by her, even at the cost of my life!*
Priscilla didn’t dare utter a word, her fearful gaze fixed on the King.
Waldo hadn’t returned yet. Not a soul in this hall would lift a finger to help her.
Priscilla thought, ‘I’m really not afraid of dying… but right now, for some reason, I’m just scared, scared in a way I can’t explain… just… inexplicably terrified…‘
Priscilla stammered, her voice trembling, “Your Majesty, Waldo… he’ll be back any moment now… he… he…”
“Are you threatening His Majesty, Miss Mcbride?” the Queen interjected coolly.
Priscilla instantly clamped her mouth shut, panic flooding her features.
The King’s brow furrowed. At last, he gave his order, “Guards! Take this woman to the palace and subject her to the punishment of castration!”

Chapter 242
A collective gasp of horror rippled through the hall.
Some of the more timid girls were so frightened they crumpled to the ground.
The rest of the girls recoiled in horror, stumbling backward, their legs trembling so badly they could barely stay upright.
