Leon remained silent.

Yuna wanted to say more, but Magnus interrupted, “His Highness will consider this matter himself. If there is nothing else, please take your leave for

now.”

Yuna’s brow immediately furrowed. “Your Highness, we haven’t finished speaking.”

However, Magnus could already tell that Leon was growing impatient.

Magnus said calmly, “As long as the six tribes don’t cause any trouble, they are not a threat at the moment.”

“With all due respect, Mr. Decker, you’re wrong.” Yuna had no intention of leaving empty–handed today. She needed a promise from Leon. Otherwise, she would have made this trip in vain.

She was busy too, and if it were not for Leon, she would not be here wasting her time.

Yuna added, “Since my father fell in battle, the six tribes have been in constant turmoil. No new leader has emerged yet. If someone powerful steps in

now to unite them, it will be much easier than at any other time.”

“The six tribes have always been loyal to my father, but that loyalty will fade with time, Your Highness…”

“Loyalty?” Leon’s gaze grew cold as he looked at her. “In this world, if you haven’t truly fought side by side, where does loyalty come from?

“The six tribes‘ relationship with your father was nothing more than a partnership based on mutual benefit. So–called loyalty exists only where there is profit to be gained. Ultimately, their allegiance or dissent will hinge on nothing more than their personal gain.”

Leon had initially thought Yuna was exceptional, but now suspected she was simply overly confident, even arrogant.

Her words sounded fresh but were really just borrowed from old sayings.

The logic was sound, but the speaker might not truly grasp its meaning.

“Show her out.” Leon rose without a word and exited through the hall’s rear door.

Yuna could not figure out what she had said wrong. Her argument was sound–anyone else would have agreed with her.

‘So why can’t I get through to him?‘ she wondered, frustration and disbelief swirling inside her.

“Your Highness!” She sprang to her feet, her eyes fixed on Leon’s retreating figure. “Join forces with me, and I’ll be your greatest asset. But if you turn me away and I ally with someone else, I’ll become the gravest threat you’ll ever face.”

Magnus’s heart skipped a beat. This girl is unbelievably arrogant,‘ he thought.

Leon walked away, completely uninterested in anything else Yuna had to say.

Yuna tried to catch up to him. “Your Highness, I refuse to work with anyone else because I have special feelings for you. Your Highness…”

However, Leon ignored her and left.

Magnus stepped in front of Yuna, blocking her path. “His Highness needs to rest. I’m afraid I have to ask you to leave now.”

Yuna squeezed her eyes shut, frustration and indignation burning in her chest.
