Waldo left the Yates family in a storm of anger.

But after a short time in the carriage, he couldn’t help himsell. He pulled open the rear window curtain and looked back at the Yates family’s gras fading into the distance, his bed darkening

He wasn’t sure how much time had passed, but suddenly, he spoke in a low, sier voice, “Stop!”

Hughie immediately halted the horses. As he turned to speak, he saw Waldo throw open the carriage door and step out

“Your Highness, where are you going?” Hughle asked, surprised

Waldo didn’t respond. After stepping down, he walked over to a newly tree, glancing back at the distant gates.

The Yates family. It still looked impressive, but anyone could see that, after the incident with Garbisch, the Yates family was on the brink of collapse. He thought Jessica must have known this as well,

“Your Highness,” Hughie said, coming up behind him and speaking softly, “Should I send someone to investigate what exactly the Yates siblings didat Prince Leon’s estate today!”

“Leon House is heavily guarded. Whether my men can find anything is uncertain, and if they’re caught by Prince Leon and brought before the king. branded a traitor, someone scheming against my brother for power.”

Although he and Leon were sworn

“I see, my mistake,” Hughie replied, sensing Waldo’s frustration. It was clear his mood was dark.

“Does Prince Leon even want someone who’s been at my side for years?” Waldo snorted coldly.

“Well…maybe not,” Hughie said carefully. He knew his words might be risky, but as a man, he felt it was important to remind Waldo of something. “Ms- Yates is… well, she’s incredibly beautiful.”

Waldo’s icy, piercing gaze shot straight at him.

Hughie flinched, his unease growing. He quickly added, “Your Highness, I have no ill intentions toward Ms. Yates! Please, believe me!”

Waldo didn’t respond.

Hughle pressed on, his voice slightly hesitant, “L… I just meant… that Ms. Yates’s beauty is unmatched, truly extraordinary. No one in the entire Capitalia compares. And with her having already cleared her name and distanced herself from you, it’s not so strange that Prince Leon might be interested.”

“The King would never allow a woman who’s broken off an engagement with his own son to marry another,” Waldo shot back. “The royal family’s reputation would be ruined.”

“What if Prince Leon doesn’t plan to marry her but just wants….her body?” Hughie ventured, cautiously.

“He dares!” Waldo’s voice was icy with fury.

But even he wasn’t entirely convinced by his own words
