The man helping Johnathan investigate was someone he had met overseas. He had a wide network and was someone Johnathan was quite familiar with, though not as close as Mateo.

That same man had also helped Johnathan collect those black market drugs recently.

Johnathan hadn’t hidden much from him. He simply said, “Some research data from those years. was leaked. She was the only one who had access to my place at the time.”

Realizing how serious this was, the man immediately promised to help him dig deeper.

“But are you absolutely sure she was the only one who ever entered your home? She studied finance. Would she even know what to do with your research?”

And even if someone else had gotten their hands on it, could they have understood it?

“I’ll think about it again. You dig deeper, too.” Johnathan said carefully.

“Got it. I’ll check more thoroughly.”

After hanging up, Johnathan pressed his fingers against his forehead and began recalling his time

abroad.

His memory was excellent. Even after so many years, the details remained vivid.
