Johnathan didn’t want Quinn to keep bringing up his mother, so he changed the subject.

“When my hand healed back then, that person stopped coming too, right?”

“Yeah.” Quinn nodded, then asked curiously, “What’s with you today? Why are you asking so much about her?”

“Nothing, just remembering old times. Thought about the food she made,” Johnathan said, half- truthfully.

Hearing that, Quinn quickly said, “If you miss her cooking so much, why not ask if she’s willing to come to the country?”

“You and Sierra are both so busy. Having someone to cook for you would be nice.”

Johnathan’s heart skipped slightly. “You can still contact her?”

“I don’t know, Quinn said. “I kept her number back then, but I’m not sure if it still works.”

She searched for a long time before finally finding the number. When she called, it turned out the line had long been reassigned.

“It’s been so many years. She’s probably not even there anymore. I heard she had gone overseas with her child for school. She probably went back to her home country by now,” Quinn explained.

Johnathan didn’t say much. They chatted a little more about old memories. As he was about to leave, he asked casually, “Where did you find her back then? Maybe I can still track her down.”

Quinn froze for a moment before answering, “I don’t remember. It’s been so many years. I don’t know if I posted something at school or if someone helped me find her. I’ll look through my stuff and see if I can find anything.”

She smiled and added, “Seems like you really loved her cooking.”

Johnathan didn’t deny it. But when he left the apartment, his expression darkened.

He had dropped by without any warning, brought up the topic randomly, and yet Quinn hadn’t shown a single flaw.

Either she truly had nothing to do with it–Or she was acting incredibly well.

If it was the latter, he had seriously underestimated Quinn all these years.

Johnathan still remembered the housekeeper’s face from back then. He quickly sketched out a rough image and sent it to Mateo.
