Lemira's eyes flashed with an icy determination. She was resolute on making the culprit pay for their actions!

This time, Orion had nearly paid the ultimate price because of her. Had it not been for sheer luck and the fact that the car had been modified, Orion might have been in a much graver situation now.

"Lemon, let's discuss this once you two are all healed up. Taking down your enemy requires patience. There's no need to rush."

Lemira shifted the conversation, "Can you take me to see Orion then?"

She needed to see for herself how badly Orion was injured.

"I'll check on him first."

Thaddeus returned quickly, "Come on, I’ll take you there. Can you manage?"

"I'm fine."

Together, they made their way to Orion's hospital room.

When she saw the man lying in the ICU, her eyes reddened, "Didn’t you say he was okay?"

"He’s mostly fine, just a bit more shaken up than you, a concussion. He needs to be watched a bit more closely. His family is really worried, so they insisted on the ICU."

Lemira stood outside for a while, "I'll come back when he wakes up."

She vividly remembered how Orion had steered the wheel, protecting her during the crash. Otherwise, she wouldn’t have been left with just a minor cut on her forehead while Orion lay in the ICU.

Thaddeus sighed, "Let's go. You should rest. Orion will probably wake up later."

"Okay."

As Lemira and Thaddeus were leaving, a stunning woman stepped out of the elevator.

Sophia looked at Thaddeus in surprise, "Thad, you're here too? And who might this be?"

Thaddeus's face drained of color upon seeing Sophia. “Just my luck,” he thought.

Thaddeus coughed slightly, "She, uh, she's a friend of mine."

Lemira glanced at the beautiful woman. Their eyes met briefly, but neither said a word. Yet, Lemira felt something was off.

As the elevator doors closed, Lemira turned to Thaddeus, "Who was that just now?"
