Chapter 114: The Pain Still There
Jasmine's POV
We were already in the hotel, and everyone decided to rest for tonight since we were tired from travelling. I am now in my room facing my laptop.
When my phone rang. It was David. I immediately answered it.
“Hi, why are you still awake at this hour?” I asked him. We were having FaceTime together.
“ I can't sleep.” He said, which made me chuckle.
“Why? Where is Diego?” I asked him, and he showed me Diego cooking in the kitchen.
“ He's cooking, Mom. I got hungry.” He said while Diego was placing food on the table.
“ He woke me up. He said that he's hungry.” He chuckled. Both of their hair were messy.
“ Why didn't you just wake up, Cherry baby? Daddy Uncle needs to rest,” I told him, but he just shook his head, which I found cute.
“ I want Daddy Uncle to cook for me, Mom. “ He said while he was eating.
“ It's okay, Jaz. I also missed cooking for him. Why are you still awake? You should be sleeping now since you travelled for how many hours.” He sounds concerned, which makes me smile.
“ I'll just finish this one. After that, you have to rest. You are not fully recovered yet, “ I told him, and he nodded like a kid.
“ We will. What about you? Have you eaten dinner?” He asked me. I nodded at him.
“ Mommy, when you get back, we will go on a trip, okay?” David suddenly said.
He's been really asking me to go out, but since Diego still needs to recover, we still can't go on a trip.
“ Of course, when Daddy Uncle fully recovered, okay?” I told him, which made him nod.
We still talk while David is eating until he's finished.
“ I'll hang up now. I'll see you guys after three days,” I told them, waving my hand.
“ I love you, Mom,” he uttered, which melted my heart.
“ I love you too, baby. “ I told him before he went to the room.
“ Take care there,” Diego told me.
“ You too. Good night. “ I told him before ending the call.
I stretched out and decided to go out in the meantime to breathe fresh air. We're also near the beach so it would be relaxing. When I went out, I decided to walk at the seaside.
I sat on the sand while letting the cold breeze on my skin.
I missed this moment when I could relax hearing the noise of the waves and the wind.
