Monique followed the ambulance and arrived at the hospital. The doctor did a full checkup on Logan. “The patient is fine; he fainted because his head hit a rock. He has a minor concussion. It’s nothing serious; I’ll prescribe some medicine. You should handle his admission procedure first and get the medicine from me later. He needs a drip bottle, but if he wakes up in 24 hours, he should be fine.”

“Thank you, doctor.” Monique looked at the doctor and smiled. The nurse gave her a form to register for admission, but she barely knew who that man was! Besides, their phones were soaked in water; it could not turn on and she had no idea how to contact anyone close to her.

Then, Monique heard someone calling out for her. “Monique!”

She thought for a moment and the voice was probably not calling for her. She did not recognize anyone there, so they had to be calling someone with the same name. She stared at the man lying on the bed. She thought he came for revenge because Louise had kicked his car, so she never expected him to actually protect her when they fell into the sea. She looked at the admission form and remembered there was another girl in his car, who kept mentioning a ‘Hen’.

She had to be referring to Henry, because he was at the Brewery Drop that day. Maybe she should give him a call. The moment she raised her eyes, she saw a tall shadow standing at the entrance. It was like a dream come true!

He was wearing a white shirt and blank pants. His tall figure brought out the noble aura that was in his blood, and maybe it was the lighting, but Monique might have sense that the man across her had a trace of anxiety flash in his eyes.
