Jordan and Edric quickly arrived at the hospital with Irene. The doctor gave Irene emergency treatment right away. After the treatment, Irene was sent to the ward. The doctor told them that she had no serious problem and would be fine after some rest. Hearing the doctor's words, Jordan and Edric looked at each other, and both heaved a sigh of relief.

After Irene rushed out of the office, she went on a bus in a daze. The bus continued to drive forward, and she sat on her seat blankly until she was the only passenger left on the bus.

The night fell, and the scenery outside the window turned into a complete black. When the bus driver announced that they had arrived at the terminal station, Irene stood up at once.

The bus driver opened the door, and she got out of the bus slowly. She felt chilly as the evening breeze blew on her. She stared at the dark sky blankly, and there was a salty scent in the air.

Realizing that she was not far from the beach now, Irene stumbled to the beach and walked into the sea slowly.

For the first time in her life, she felt so exhausted and desperate!

"What's the point of living? It's best if I just end my life."

This thought made Irene stroll to the middle of the sea slowly. The seawater passed her feet gradually, then her ankles, her waist, her chest, and finally her neck.

At this time, Eden's innocent face appeared before her eyes all of a sudden. Eden was crying and screaming heartbreakingly, "Mommy! Mommy, you can't die! What am I going to do if you are gone? If you die, I will be an orphan!"

Freya regretted it very much as well. Lily ordered her to find a crowd to make a scene at Irene's company. She thought they could escape unscathed after accomplishing the task, but she didn't expect that they would be stopped by the security guards and sent to the police station.

Deborah heard it clearly from the side and grabbed the phone from Lily. "If they spit your name out, you have to bear all the responsibilities!"

"All the responsibilities?" Freya gasped. When Lily asked for her help with this matter, she didn't say that Freya had to bear the consequences. Instead, she had been assuring Freya that nothing would happen. How could they turn their backs on her now?

How could Freya handle it? "Will I go to jail?" Freya questioned.

"You won't! You did not harm anyone or defame them after all. It's a fact that they are together." Deborah comforted Freya, "If they gave away your name, you would have to bear the responsibility. Just say that you were so furious when you accidentally saw Edric and Irene together. Therefore, you decided to stand up for Lily. Remember, this is what you should say. You will be fine as long as you side with us. Do you understand?"

"I... But what if Edric doesn't believe me?" Freya asked with a guilty conscience. If she had known this, she wouldn't have agreed with Lily.
