After a tough time with Santiago, Pearl and Richard left the manor. Stretching, Pearl said, "I'm so tired. Let's head home. Darius must be getting impatient waiting for us."

They had rushed to the hospital earlier, leaving Darius at home to rest. He was probably hungry by now.

Richard agreed, and they headed home together. But when they arrived, they found the house empty. Darius, who was supposed to be waiting for them, was nowhere to be found.

Pearl started to panic. "What happened? Who took him?"

Richard reassured her, "That's impossible. Darius wouldn't just open the door for strangers."

"Then where could he be?"

They searched the house but found no sign of Darius.

Just as they were running out of ideas, Richard's phone rang. Answering the call, Richard's expression darkened when he recognized the voice on the other end.

"Where have you taken my child?" Richard demanded.

"Relax. Where would I take him? I just took him out to eat," the voice replied with a laugh. It was Sean. "You wouldn't believe how adorable this boy is. He's so much better than you two."

Richard and Pearl were at a loss for words.

Feeling helpless, Pearl asked, "So, where is he now?"

Sean had mellowed over the years and seemed calmer, more stable. Next to him was a quiet, well-behaved boy, Chester, who clearly inherited Richard's good looks and had a pleasant demeanor that was easy to like.

Pearl approached him. "You're Chet, right?"

"Yes, Aunt Pearl." Chester appeared shy, possibly because it had been so long since they last met.

"You seem much more well-behaved than when you were younger."

Sean couldn't resist a jibe. "Of course. I raised him. He's bound to be well-behaved and charming."

Pearl rolled her eyes at him. "Or maybe you've just been tough on him to make him this cautious."
