Chapter 454
Maleah’s p.o.v.

A message on my phone pulls me from my thoughts and I tell Mack that he was right, that my Mother didn’t contact the press but that it was Alpha Bradley.

“Oh, this is great.” I mumble as I read the rest of the message Harvey send me and I turn my phone towards Mack to let him read the message too. Delaney’s Father will also be attending the funeral and according to one of my Scouts a huge part of his Warriors is heading towards Blood Crescent Pack.

I send a message back to Harvey, that I want my teams in position around the territory and that he needs to coordinate this with our border patrols.

“I need to talk to Delaney and our Alphas. Harvey will help protect our borders but I want to know what they want to do with Delaney, take her with us or not.” I say as I send a message to Pauline about the latest developments, I know she will be there to help Harvey out and keep an eye on Delaney if that is necessary.

Harvey is waiting for us at the gate with some of my team members and Levi introduces him to our Head Warrior, both of them start talking business the moment they walk away. Our Alphas are pacing up and down the front porch when we get to the Pack-house and I giggle when I see Delaney reading the book on our Pack’s history.

“She isn’t too bothered with her Mates nor is she bothered by the fact that they are worried about something.” I say.

Delaney lifts her head up long enough to look at us, but her eyes are back on her reading quickly and I laugh when Kay asks them what crawled up their pants.

“If I get a message that Maleah needs to talk to us I know trouble is coming.” Dominic growls and I look at my Mates to see which one send a message to Dominic.

“Thanks for throwing my under the buss, Love.” I say as I look at Levi.

I tell them that trouble is heading this way, but that Harvey and my team will help out at the borders and as I turn to Delaney I see we have nothing to worry about. “Your Father will be at Diablo’s funeral as well, but he is also sending Warriors this way.” I say before I look at Dominic and tell him there is nothing to worry about, that Harvey will have everything settled with our Head Warrior before we leave for the funeral.

“I think it is best to take Delaney with us, everyone needs to see that she is your Mate and that the four of you have completed the Mate-bond.” I say as I sit down next to Delaney and ask her if she is enjoying the book she is reading, she smiles at me as she turns the book slightly towards me.

She isn’t reading the book at all, she is looking at pictures of her Mates with comments from Elyse and I have to do my best not to burst into a laughing fit.

I ask her which part she enjoyed the most and she turns to a page that has me laughing my ass off, it is a picture of both our Mates. The six of them couldn’t be older than four and they are in the backyard, running around in the pouring rain, butt naked.

Both of us get strange looks from our Mates and I link Elyse to ask for a copy of that picture, I want to make a drawing of it to hang in my office.

I find a picture of my three Mates sitting in a pool of mud, the picture has captured to momentum of the mud flying through the air and I ask Elyse if I can have copy of this one as well.

Delaney asks me what I am going to do with it and I tell them I want to draw this picture and hang it in the nursery we will have one day.

I look from a picture to Delaney and back again, “I can never take my Alpha serious again.” I mutters as I see a picture of Dominic that was taken at the right time, his eyes filled with fear as a piece of mud is about to hit him in the face and Delaney is hiccupping from laughing so hard.

Elyse tells us that this happened on a day after they had been cooped up inside for three days already, it had been raining almost nonstop and Max had told them they couldn’t go outside because their clothes would get dirty.

The boys hadn’t been too happy with that reasoning, but it was Dillon that had said if we take our clothes of they can’t get dirty and they had stripped naked to go outside.

“I didn’t tell Max when I caught them, I just got my camera to take these pictures. It was finally brought to Max’s attention by a Warrior and I know he nearly choked when Dillon said that they made sure their clothes wouldn’t get dirty, so he wanted to know what the fuss was about.

I am not sure which I found more hilarious, a four year old out smarting an Alpha or Dillon standing on the back porch with his hands on his hips, butt naked.” Elyse says and the three of us are laughing our asses off as Max steps into the living room.
