Connor's fanbase was called Connexions, which was a mix of Connor's name and the word connection. Seeing how they were calling people doomed nonstop, the admins of the platform wondered if that was going against their terms and regulations.
The fandom was too passionate, cursing at others for no reason. However, they were adorable at the same time! The admins didn't even know why they were feeling touched when they saw what was happening.
…
Meanwhile, Thomas slowly began to regain consciousness. When he was in a daze earlier, he saw Demi grabbing him and pulling him ashore.
At first, he thought he was imagining it. After all, Demi didn't know how to swim. Even if she could swim, he figured there was no way she could've dragged two men with her at the same time.
When they were on their way to shore, he tried to open his eyes multiple times to see who was rescuing them. Then, he noticed that it was Demi rescuing them. However, he still thought he was imagining it! Back then, he didn't understand why he would imagine her rescuing him in a critical situation like that.
When he woke up, he turned around and saw Demi administering needling therapy for Connor, who was smiling and thanking her. At that moment, Thomas wondered if she knew needling therapy. Seeing how she had saved them, he wondered if she had stopped hating them.
…
Demi only left the needles inside for a short while, like last time, and she removed everything in less than a minute.
"I'm going to leave now. Otherwise, the others are going to worry about me," she said to Connor and the guests around him.
"You're heading back? But it's a long way back. Why don't you stay here?" one of the staff suggested.
"Just let them know about it on your phone," said Wendy. Right after hearing that, Demi's face fell.
"What's wrong?" the crowd asked nervously.
"My phone!"
Demi reached her hand inside her pocket and took out a drenched phone. Seeing it, she was instantly shocked. When she used the water-repelling skill, the phone wouldn't get wet at all. However, in order to avoid startling anyone, she canceled the skill right before reaching the shore.
With that, the phone was soaked.
"You made me jump! I thought it was something serious." Wendy let out a long breath of relief after hearing that. "There's no way your phone wouldn't get wet when you saved them from the water. Just ask the program crew to compensate you."
"It has tripled," the staff member said excitedly.
"Good." Matt nodded in satisfaction. Although he was stunned to see the guests and crew fall into the water one after another, it was still a blessing in disguise for him. After all, it brought him a huge burst of popularity.
…
After giving everyone a needling therapy session, Demi wiped the thin layer of sweat off of her forehead. When she looked around and saw that no one needed her anymore, she left quietly.
Thomas had been keeping his eyes on her the whole time. The Demi in front of him was nothing like the one he previously knew. After all, he didn't expect her to have any medical skills at all. When he noticed her looking at him, he froze, thinking that she would come to ask about his condition.
However, she quickly looked away from him again, leaving him speechless. Then, he silently watched as she left the scene.
Demi had given everyone an acupuncture session except for him! He wondered if she had forgotten about him or if she hated him.
"Please hold on, Ms. Demi. Please take a look at Thomas too," Ana yelled frantically at Demi after getting on her feet and running after the latter in a hurry. It made Ana look like a great sister who was worried about her brother.
