FINAL EPISODE SEVENTY
EPILOGUE
LOS ANGELES
TWO YEARS LATER
Ivy woke up to a hand stroking her face only to see the cute face close to her. Ivy blinked several time to clear her vision. Her two years old baby girl was staring right back at her.
“Mama...” Beverly clapped her hands together.
Ivy sat up to carry her daughter. “Baby, where is daddy?” She asked.
“I am right here.” Ace answered.
And when Ivy looked up, she saw her husband standing with a big cake in his hands while Leroy had a party pumper in his hand too.
“Happy birthday!” The party pumper was puffed into the air and Beverly giggled at the sound.
Ace sang a birthday song together with Leroy while Beverly clapped her hands as she revealed the four teeth in her mouth.
“Happy birthday mom!” Leroy said.
“My love, happy 30th birthday to you!” Ace smiled as he dropped the cake on the bed for her to blow out the candle.
Ivy made a wish to be happy with her family before blowing the candle. She threw her hand around him got an embrace. “Thank you, honey.”
“You deserve more.” Ace replied.
Beverly crawled to the cake only to dip a finger on the icing causing Leroy to shout her name. Ace pulled away from his wife as he watched his daughter point her finger at her mother. Beverly wanted her mom to lick her finger.
“Is that your gift to me? You are so sweet.” Ivy licked her finger while Leroy and his father laughed.
“We should go downstairs, everyone is here.” Ace informed her.
“Everyone?” Ace furrowed her eyebrows. She didn’t plan anything for this birthday but only grateful to God for the gift of life.
“My mom, dad, Camilla, Arthur and his Junior.” Ace counted his finger.
“Aunt Emily and her husband. Grandma Rivera is also here.” Leroy added.
“Really?” Ivy reached out to her baby who was already waiting for her to be picked up by her mom.
Beverly touched her mom’s face while Ace held his wife and son’s hands respectively.
“The cake! I’ll pick up the cake.” Leroy let go of his father’s hand and went back to the bed to carry the cake.
They all motioned out of the bedroom to sitting room where everyone was waiting. Ivy smile grew broader as her eyes caught the changes in the sitting room. It was nicely decorated with colorful balloons and numeric balloons that showed her age.
“Happy birthday!” They chorused.
“When did you put this up?” Ivy asked her husband.
