Love Story5 - Chapter 1
After leaving Caspian's office, I slowly moved with my pregnant belly.
I wanted to take a taxi home but discovered there were still 250 people in line due to the sudden heavy rain.
Just as I was about to brave the rain and walk home, Caspian came out after me.
Wren was following behind him.
Caspian held an umbrella, with Wren walking by his side.
"Come on, I need to pick up something from home. I'll give you a ride back."
Seeing me staring at Wren, Caspian impatiently said, "Wren just got back to the country and hasn't bought anything yet. You have a lot of new clothes and cosmetics at home, right? Grab some for her."
I stood in the rain, my body shaking, looking at the man before me with red eyes.
Caspian and I met ten years ago in the great northwestern desert, and we gradually became friends.
He pursued me for three whole years, but I never felt anything for him.
Until later, when my father fell ill and was hospitalized, and I was still working abroad at the time.
In desperation, I thought of Caspian, who was in our hometown.
Caspian didn't hesitate to help me, running errands back and forth.
At that moment, he finally entered my heart.
Later, we naturally got together, registered for marriage, and got married.
We lived like an ordinary couple, day after day, but it was warm and cozy.
Until Wren appeared.
Caspian told me Wren was his sister, who had just returned from graduate school and couldn't find a job.
So I agreed to Caspian's idea of arranging for Wren to work in the company.
Little did I know, I was inviting a wolf into our home.
Caspian started to find fault with me, becoming very impatient with me, and even said one drunken night that he regretted marrying me.
I just thought he was under work pressure and kept comforting myself.
But now, I don't want to deceive myself anymore.
"Why should I give her my belongs?"
