Lian had dialed Zayn’s number with little hope of reaching him. 

It was early, and he assumed Zayn would still be lost in slumber. 

Tet, to his surprise, Zayn picked up almost instantly. 

He wondered if Zayn had actually stayed up all night waiting for this result 

Liam stood tall, bracing himself for whatever was to come. 

“What’s the result? Zayn’s voice had a hint of raspiness, tinged with either nerves or excitement. Liam couldn’t quite discern which. 

“Boss, you and Mr. Aaron Sanford.no, scratch that, Mr. Aaron Carter.. you two.. you’re blood, father and son!” 

Liam knew Zayn’s disdain for Aaron all too well, so he hurriedly added, “Boss, if you’re skeptical, I’ll bring that paternity test report over to Lakecoast right this minute! 

“And boss, I swear on everything holy, that the paternity test is as legit as they come! I’ve been camped out at the hospital, so there’ll be no chance for any monkey business. So believe me when I say, you and Mr. Aaron, you’re blood through and through!” 

Later, Liar prattled on about something, but Zayn couldn’t make out the words. All that reverberated in his mind was Liam’s solemn proclamation that he and Aaron were blood, father and son 

Zam gripped his head in torment. Willow hadn’t deceived him. Aaron was indeed his own flesh and blood. 

Yet, he had spat venom, branding Aaron a despicable bastard, and Willow, a whore 

He had turned a blind eye to Aaron’s medical needs, forcing Willow to strike a deal with a dubious organization just to scrape together the cash for Aaron’s surgery. 

When Aaron was kidnapped, he remained aloot. To save him, Willow had to sell herself at the Rumpus Club. 

In that moment, she suffered humilation and despair, while he callously stomped on her dignity with the Rumpes Club scandal 

After all her hardship, she finally scraped together enough to rescue Aaron. But he had heartlessly sent Aaron plummeting into the abyss.

She must’ve split from him under duress, maybe coerced by Louis or other circumstances. It couldn’t have been what she wanted.
