I wanted to groan in frustration. The trip to the border hadn't even fully started and everything was so awkward.

"We better get going now." Arthur's voice broke the silence.

I took that as my cue and made my way into the car. Arthur did the same as the rest of the men followed suite.

Throughout the car ride, I couldn't help but think of what we would find when we finally got there.

What could I expect? Was it dangerous? Would something even worse happen? This was apparently the only lead we had to find my wolf. I couldn't afford to mess this up. This was my one chance.

Like hell I'd let it go to waste. I dared to spare a glance at the guys.

Most of them were talking with their wolves. At that point, I turned back to staring out the car window.

The scenes blurred past me as we steadily made our way towards the border. I wished there was a way to get my wolf back.

I was tired of the creeping feeling of loneliness that seemed hell bent on swallowing me whole.

"Giselle."

I froze. It sounded like the voice of a girl.

Giselle.

I looked around, wondering where the voice could have possibly come from. My head inched outside just a little. Maybe someone had seen my face and called out to me.

Nothing.

There was nothing but miles and miles of barren land. We'd long passed the areas of the kingdom that held the urbanizations. Every once in a while, we'd come across some shacks and other makeshift homes.

I hadn't seen anybody in a while. Not to mention a girl who would have recognized me and called my name.

Maybe it was just in my head. I needed a nap anyway. I shut my eyes, hoping to get a bit of sleep before we eventually got to the place.

"Giselle."

There it was again. My eyes snapped open and I looked around frantically. It was Froste. He had a concerned look in his eyes as he watched me.

"Oh." The words left my lips breathlessly.

"I can help with that, Giselle." Askhan got up from his seat abruptly.

There was still a bit of coffee left so he took out a cup, trying to serve me some. I wanted to raise a hand to tell him I was fine with one cup but he didn't look like he'd budge.

I should have known it wouldn't turn out well. Askhan was a prince, which meant he'd never served anyone before.

The coffee ended up spilling on him when he tried to bring it to me. There was a look of frustration in his eyes as he held out the cup to me.

I should have known he'd be clumsy. It wasn't something he'd ever done or would ever be used to.

Froste took in Askhan's messy appearance, a look of amusement in his eyes. He looked like he was holding back a laugh.

"Thank you, your highness." I said, stifling a laugh.

Askhan's shoulders relaxed just a bit. There was a contented look in his eyes as he took his seat back.

Froste turned back to the book he'd been reading, his eyes squinted in concentration. The rest of the afternoon went on like that, with both of them competing to do things for me.
