Badboy Ace novel Chapter 24

Ryn's pov

It's been about twenty minutes of awkward silence, tensed muscles and clammy hands. I nearly screamed of joy when my house came into view.

As soon as Ace had parked I didn't take long and hopped off. I opened the gates sensing his brooding figure not far behind. I needed to get this promiscuous outfit off of me as soon as possible.

"Ryn!" Marlie shouts startling me in the process. She was in the balcony sitting on one of the chairs there. She had a radiant smile as she stared at me and I couldn't help but give her one of my own even though I was currently having a shitty day.

I wave at her. "Hey Marlie, where's Paul?" I asked referring to her husband.

She chuckles "Oh that lazy bum is sleeping soundly inside."

I laugh and feel Ace looming presence close beside me. I stiffen when his chest touches my back.

"Hey miss Smith." Ace voice yells at the back of me, his chest rumbles causing a vibration to pass through me.

"Oh Ace how you are dear?" She asked smiling.

He chuckles causing another vibration to rock through me. I step away from him uncomfortable for feeling aroused by just the sound of his voice.

"Well Ryn's been taking good care of me Marlie, so I can say that I'm more than okay." He teases, walks to stand beside me and puts his arms around my shoulders.

"That's nice to hear that you lovely couple are taking my word and started making those babies. I can already see them growing in your stomach Ryn!" She gushes. I choke on my saliva and Ace pats my back.

I don't think Robert will have time to kill me, Marlie will, before he does.

"Oh Ryn dear what happened to you, did you get into a brawl again?" She gasped when she noticed how tousled I looked.

I stiffened, I had forgotten that I still had those horrendous clothes on. I would've thought with her terrible eyesight that she wouldn't have noticed.

I smile awkwardly. "Oh it's nothing to worry about!" I reassure her. She didn't seem to believe me and her eyes widened in worry.

"Oh dear and you're bleeding!" She says and stands up. Fuck.

"It's just ketchup Marlie please stop worrying I'm fine. Anyway I'll talk to you later we need to get out of these clothes." I rush out. Please don't ask any more questions.

"Wow ketchup Ryn, really?" Ace mumbles for my ears only. I glared at him sideways and elbowed his torso.

"Shut up!" I hissed at him.

"Well if you say so." She sighs and sits back down. "I'd love for you and Ace to join Paul and I for dinner tonight. I'm making lasagna." She says.

"Oh sure we'll love to Marlie." Ace answers and pushes me towards the house waving goodbye to Marlie. I wave at her before disappearing inside my house.

Ace closes the door and I walk to the kitchen. I opened one of the cupboards and took a glass, walked to the sink and filled it up. I gulped the water and slammed the now empty glass on the counter, it cracks.

Ace soon comes behind me, I turn to glare at him. "What the fuck Ace, what was the point of us doing all this shit? Look what happened, a whole bunch of people are now injured because of us and to add on to it, we accomplished absolutely nothing!" I yelled pointing an accusing finger at him.
