Ace's pov

Her laugh was so beautiful and for a second I was completely mesmerized and trapped in a trance. It was strange how I felt an overwhelming feeling of possessiveness whenever she was close to another guy who wasn't me. I knew feeling this way wasn't healthy and I needed to work on that but for now I didn't care, all I wanted was her entirely for myself, every single inch of her.

I wasn't lying when I said I knew she was the one when I had first met her. The protective feeling that washed over me that day could only explain why I always felt that she was mine to always protect even though I knew she hated me to the core. It also explained why no other woman interested me enough to get her out of my thoughts, she always invaded it completely, making her my own personal drug that I was obsessed with.

I was tired of pretending that all I wanted was sex from her because when I had finally gotten it, I was so lost in her that she had invaded my senses making me feel things I had never felt before. I wasn't new to the sex thing, I had fucked many woman before but none could make me so weak and needy like she did, none could surpass her, none was her.

Everything about her was beautiful and I was glad that she was now mine completely and I'll admit that was what I had wanted all along. I don't know what the future held but if I had to die today, I'd die a happy man knowing Ryn was mine even though it's just been a few hours. I diverted my gaze quickly away and scratched the back of my head when I had been caught staring at her.

"Ryn, it looks like my brother is completely entranced by your beauty, he's staring at you like a love sick puppy." Becca decides to open her mouth.

I shot her a glare and shift my eyes to Ryn to see that she had a smile placed on her lips and I quickly removed my eyes away from her in case that I was caught gawking at my woman's face again. Becca wouldn't let me live that down if she saw me.

"Becca shut up." I mumbled embarrassed.

She lets out a loud laugh snorting in the process. "Don't be embarrassed brother, though I have never seen you this way before, such a difference than how you've acted with other women and there were plenty." She comments.

My gut wrenches in discomfort as she mentions other women, I shift my eyes to get a quick glance at Ryn hoping she doesn't take Becca's words in the wrong and think that I was a manwhore, oh who am I kidding, I was. She already doesn't trust that I'll be faithful and I really didn't want her feeding into that. She was it for me and I don't think I'll ever find another woman attractive again, she has completely ruined me for other women. But looking at her, she didn't seem that all affected by Becca's words although that could be a facade, who knows what she's thinking in that beautiful head of hers?

I needed to divert the conversation before it gets too uncomfortable and knowing Becca she wouldn't miss a chance to humiliate me. "Becca does Robert know where you are?" I had needed to ask that question, it was important to know if he knew about her whereabouts. The man was a sleazy bastard that knew everything before anyone else knew.

She stiffens. "I just left the house without telling him where I was heading, do you think he followed me here?" She asked now panicked.

"Becca are you that naive? Why didn't you take any precautions when coming here?" I hissed now on the verge of being furious with her.

"Calm down Ace, it's not like she did it intentionally." Ryn says, calming me down instantly. Becca looks between us before smiling, I sent her a warning look to not say anything. I was embarrassed enough that a single woman could make me Ace Reed, someone who many people feared, so weak.

"Look brother I came here looking for you and now that I have I'm not going back. I had every intention of staying with you when I located where you were. So you can count me in, in helping to take down Robert. I've been wanting to kill that bastard the moment I found out what he did to my parents." Becca utters.

My eyes widen in shock, not knowing how she knew about her parents. "When did you find out?" I asked her biting my bottom lip.

She sighs. "I overheard him talking to Jace about it when I was fifteen."

I started coughing as I choked on my saliva. "You knew about it since then? And here I was feeling guilty for keeping it from you!"
