Frederick was afraid that Mrs. Clements wouldn't welcome Danica or that Danica would say something to offend Mrs. Clements, causing a conflict to happen. He then hurriedly took his car key and left his office.

When he reached the office's door, Chet was there too. "Frederick, you have a dinner appointment with Mr. Andrews tonight..."

"Ah! I almost forgot! You'll be representing me. I'll give Mr. Andrews a call and inform him. Deal with him first. If there's an issue, clarify them with me when I'm back. I have to go back home at once!" Frederick said while looking at his watch.

Frederick was already gone when he finished his sentence, leaving Chet, who was still confused about what just happened, on the spot. Did something happen in his family?

However, thinking of what he did to Alicia, Chet still felt indebted to her. Moments later, he decided to work harder for Frederick! He turned around and continued his work!

Meanwhile, after hanging up the phone, Danica fixed her makeup. Upon thinking of Frederick's companion, she started to smile as she held her gift.

Moments later, she looked at her watch. It was almost time for Frederick to reach. She turned her head and looked at the road. Miranda happened to come out to collect a package at that time. She saw Danica at a glance and was surprised by her sudden appearance.

"Miss Randolph?"

"Miranda! It's been a while since I saw you. Is Grandma at home? How have you been?"

Looking at Miranda, Danica stepped forward and gave her a hug but Miranda's expression was obviously a little stiff. "Well, she's at home! I've been doing well too!"

At this time, a courier truck stopped in front of them. When Miranda collected the package, she saw Danica still standing at the door with a gift held in her hand. She had no choice but to welcome her.

"Miss Randolph, please come in."

Actually, Danica wanted to wait for Frederick before she went in. But, now that Miranda had already invited her, she was too embarrassed to refuse. Plus, her purpose of seeing Mrs. Clements still could be achieved, therefore she nodded. "Okay! Let me make a call and notify Frederick. Miranda, you can go in first!"

After handing the gift to Miranda, Danica reached for her phone and called Frederick.

Pressing her lips, Miranda looked at Danica for a moment before she turned around. Miranda's expression was slightly sour upon listening to Danica's word. "What was Master Frederick thinking? He refused to come back and have dinner with Mrs. Clements but agreed to accompany Danica to visit Mrs. Clements?"

"What should I do? Miss Blanchard is inside! What if they started to argue?" Miranda panicked.

She sped up her steps intuitively. She wanted to tell Mrs. Clements beforehand about what happened.

However, Danica was behind her. While she was on the phone with Frederick, she didn't stop her pace. Instead, she was walking slowly into the house.

"Grandma!"

As soon as Mrs. Clement came out of the kitchen, she was surprised by the presence of Danica. Looking at Miranda and Danica, the smile on Mrs. Clement's face froze.

Danica stepped forward and held Mrs. Clements arm affectionately. "Grandma, it's been years since we met. You are still healthy and young!"

"Danica? When did you come back?"

There was no joy in Mrs. Clements expression, only shock. She turned her gaze to Miranda unconsciously and shook her head. Miranda hurriedly stepped forward and smiled.

"Mrs. Clements, Miss Randolph came to visit you!" Miranda said while showing Mrs. Clements the gift she brought.

At this moment, Mrs. Clements couldn't tell what she was feeling. Soon, she came back to her senses and replied, "That's so nice of you. Come and have a seat! Miranda, hurry, go and get us some tea..."

"Sure! I'm on my way," Miranda replied.

They looked at each other and exchanged gazes. Both of them felt somewhat helpless in this situation.
