Feeling a little agitated, Alicia couldn't help but suspect that he really didn't know what was going on.

After further scrutiny, Frederick was taken aback. Why did it say Danica?

He fiddled with the box and felt that something was wrong somewhere. He was one step away from stuffing the box into his eyes.

"I think this was... the shop's logo!"

And it looked like a part of it had been scratched off or tampered with. No wonder he'd felt something was off! As he spoke, he took Alicia's hand and pressed her hand to the box so she could feel it.

"It seems that this part has been tampered with. You didn't think that this was meant for Danica, did you?"

She could feel some jagged parts on it. However, because of the good material being used, it wasn't obvious at first glance.

Although Frederick did not pay attention to the logo inside, he felt that the logo looked weird. Similarly, Alicia was not stupid, but she was still in a bad mood. There were still tears in her eyes.

Frederick picked up the ring and tried it on Alicia.

"This ring was custom- made according to your measurements! It's just that I don't like this design. If you want it, you can have it and wear it for fun."

Frederick took his phone out and searched for something on the Internet. He sighed helplessly, "No wonder! The designer's name is Danicia!"

He quickly scrolled through his emails to look for his response to ordering the ring, then showed Alicia all the photos and messages. "Are you still suspecting me? It's not easy for me to think nicely of women, but I would never lie to them!"

If he wasn't provoked, he wouldn't do anything to a woman.

He wiped away the tears on her face gently.

"Except for you, I have never touched any other women! I did all this to make you happy. Happy life, happy wife, right?"

She touched the ring and looked at the box carefully. Alicia wasn't that dumb. Danica had been alone in the room, and there weren't any funny smells.

Could this all have been a set up from Danica? If that was the case, then the perfume and lipstick...

After thinking for a while, Alicia felt that she might have wronged him.

She had already told him to come home that night. If that really happened, he wouldn't have been stupid enough to not check himself after getting close to a woman! She supposed it was true that he hadn't touched anybody else that night.

Thinking of how scheming Danica was, Alicia felt a chill down her spine.

Naturally, Frederick thought of this and felt extremely disappointed.

Suddenly, Alicia shivered and her gaze swept towards Frederick's face. She mumbled, "Does it hurt?"

Because of the crying, her voice was still a little hoarse. It was still gentle, though, making his heart pound.

"No one has ever dared to hit me!"

Subconsciously, Frederick held her tighter.

Alicia felt a little fortunate that she had survived a disaster. She was glad that he cared about her and still chose her. Fortunately, this was a set up!

Alicia nudged her way into his arms.

"Hubby, I'm actually really afraid of losing you. I've never been more afraid of anything in my life! I'm already used to having you, used to you holding me like this, and I love having you in my life. I only have the courage to speak loudly and fight for my right with you around. If it weren't for you, I would've definitely had to swallow up my frustrations and leave the company in disgrace. Even if I were able to prove myself, others might not have believed me. So even though I was wronged today, I'm still glad it happened. With you comforting me, I know that I can make it through anything!"

Alicia looked at him with her watery eyes full of tenderness and spoke in a firm voice.

"Frederick. I only want you in my life. I'll be yours forever! For you, I can do anything. As long as you love me and never let me down!"

Even if she had decided in her heart that he was the only man in her life, if he had done something wrong to her, she would rather die alone than be with someone else.

Frederick lowered his head and gave her a deep, passionate kiss. He rested his forehead against hers and wiped the last of her tears away.

With a hoarse voice, Frederick said, "It's enough for me to have you in my life!"

Looking at each other, a smile finally appeared on Alicia's face. At this moment, there was a knock on the door. Frederick looked in the direction of the door.

"It must be the food! I'll get it!"

Frederick turned around while Alicia wiped her face. She glanced at the trash can and stopped for a second, "Why did she do that? It's a risky move!"
