Joy nodded earnestly. “I’ve told them about you—how our family managed to build a villa in town because of you. They’re so envious and have been dying to meet you. Now’s the perfect chance.”

Without waiting for Serena’s reply, Joy decisively pulled her toward the backstage area.

Serena frowned slightly. “What about your brother and Rock?”

“Don’t worry about them…” Joy quickened her pace, as if afraid Serena might change her mind. Once backstage, she eagerly introduced, “Lydia, this is Serena, the one I always talk about…”

Her voice was loud enough to draw attention.

Quite a few people were backstage, and they all turned to look.

Seeing it was Serena, their eyes lit up.

Serena had been quite the star at school, known for her excellent grades and vibrant personality.
