She clutched her bag tightly, as if it were Serena herself.

The other students were caught up in the commotion, too frightened to intervene, so they took a few steps back.

Joy was the only one who stood there, dumbfounded, staring at the sugary mess on the floor.

"Enough, you crazy woman!" Joy shoved Yvonne, wishing she could tear her apart.

Yvonne recognized the girl in front of her as Samuel’s sister. Her arrogance faded, and she forced a friendly smile. "Joy, right? I'm a classmate of your brother..."

"I know who you are," Joy gritted her teeth, glaring at Yvonne with anger. "You like my brother, you keep bothering him, and because he wouldn’t date you, you made it impossible for him to find a job in Alderburg, right?"

Serena looked at Joy, surprised.

Samuel had always told her he couldn't find work because of his straightforward nature.

Who knew there was more to the story?

Yvonne's expression changed. "I... I didn't..."

"You know exactly what you did," Joy said bitterly.

"Believe what you want, but I didn't do anything," Yvonne retorted, trying to maintain her composure as others backstage began to look at her differently. With a huff, she slammed her bag onto the table. "Serena, you'll regret this!"

Serena watched Yvonne’s retreating figure, her brows furrowed.

Something felt off...

"Serena..."

Serena snapped back to reality, seeing Joy looking at her with a weary expression.

"I wanted you to try the sweet red bean soup I made, but that woman ruined everything. Can you give me your thermos? I'll clean it up."

Serena looked at the thermos in her hand.

There was still a little soup left inside.
