She was a great cook and barista now, but she knew nothing of this before she married Chase. She’d learned everything for him and Sam. Only she knew how hard it had been. That was why she always carried ointment. But since Sam left with Chase, she seldom needed it. She went back to work. She’d just finished some documents when she heard someone speak. 

“Mr. Sterling’s girlfriend is here!” 

“Girlfriend? Who is she? Is she pretty?” 

No idea. But she’s from a wealthy family, and she looks super pretty and classy!” They saw Ashley and shut up.“Let’s work first.” 

Ashley knew they were talking about Tanya. She showed no emotion. 

As they were going to the meeting room, they saw Tanya with four high–ranking executives. They were fawning over her. 

Tanya laughed. “Thank you for showing me around. That means a lot.” She was dressed in designer clothes, exuding wealth and class. She spoke politely but like she was already the boss’s wife. 

The executives laughed. “It’s our pleasure, Ms. Mond.” 

They saw Ashley and frowned.“Watch where you’re walking! You can’t afford to hit Ms. Mond!”
