I quickly hit him again with the hilt, and grunted from the force I used before jumping up onto its back only to slam the silver blade onto the wolfs head. Instantly the knife once again lodged itself into a lycans skull and left the poor wolf dead. A trickle of blood flowed from its mouth before it shifted back, revealing a naked woman.
I turned to remove my weapon from the now humans head but was knocked down by another wolf. It's jaw clamped down painfully on my forearm while it began to drag my body across the grassy field. I shouted in pain, as I tried to grab anything I could find off the ground below. At the rate the wolf was going, I imagine my flesh was going to be torn right off. I fumbled frantically with my left hand until my fingers managed to grab the gun out of my belt. I prayed silently that it still had bullets left in it, I pointed it directly at the wolfs neck and fired, shooting a single bullet directly through its fur and skin and watching it leave a hole from the front of his neck to the back. He instantly fell limp on the floor dead. Silver bullets really were the best way to kill a wolf.
I quickly slid my damaged arm out from underneath the now dead wolf and clutched at it wincing obviously at the pain I was feeling.
Blood poured from the wound but I knew the saying 'ignorance is bliss'. I found a dirty piece of ripped cloth lying on the floor, probably from when a wolf had shifted, and quickly tied a tornequet around the wound instantly halting the bleeding. The armor even more damaged now than before. I Guess it wasn't completely attack proof.
My head was pounding and my ears were filled with nothing but, growls, howls and human shouts. Even so I was blinded by the task at hand, I knew I couldn't let myself be over taken by the amount of death that was all around.
