"Brilliant... Brilliant."
He muttered, getting up on his feet.
"Brilliant!"
He increased the tempo of his voice.
"Brilliant!!!"
He raised his pitch and his voice this time.
"Here is a brilliant girl who knows how to use her head better than y'all spoilt brats!!!"
He yelled at the girls who sneered.
"Much for a good guy."
Claire scorned, scoffing.
"Is that bastard comparing us to a little girl?"
Laurette gritted her teeth.
Damien then turned away from the girls when something hit him.
"But I can't do that. That means, I'll leave the monster behind. That's a bad thing for anyone who would be travelling through this part of the ocean..."
He shook his head, walking back to the girl.
"That was a brilliant idea which I'm very grateful to hear, but I can't leave the monster behind."
She had a look of defeat in her eyes when he said those words to her. Damien wanted to console her but he didn't have the time. Something else had hit him. Something quite interesting.
He turned from her. He walked closer to the wall of the shield.
"Out!"
He called and out of the shield he went, hanging in the air.
It seemed as though the suggestion of the girl had just turned a bolt of ideas in his mind. He kept getting more and more ideas.
He flipped the window system out and began to scroll through. He scrolled and scrolled but couldn't get what he wanted. He was about to feel bad when he remembered something which he shouldn't had forgotten in the first place.
His countenance fell when he saw the remaining balance of the system gem. He had only five gems left. He had used more than the reasonable.
He knew too well that if he exhaust the gems, he might not be able to make more money. Though he already bought a great investment, yet he had other plans.
He could hope on his gold reserve but he had other plans for that too.
He couldn't possibly use up all the system gems. He dared not!
And it was also saddening that the function of each system gem expires after two months. He had no idea why the system had to give such unfair condition.
"This would be the last system gem I'd be using."
He promised himself. He had to deal with the first thing first. He could worry about the other things later after they'd left the island.
"Exchange one system gem for the most powerful nuclear bomb man could ever think about. Time it for two minutes!"
[Ping! Host's request Loading.]
"Wait! Wtf! Did I just say two minutes?!"
He realized it was too late to worry. All he had to do at that moment, was to bring out the nuclear bomb launcher out of the system store and launch it.
The time was already counting. He knew he couldn't dilly-dally. But then, he remembered something else. Something which he should had done before doing the exchange.
"Oh, fuck me!"
He cursed zooming back into the shield.
"What happened?! You look stressed and worried!"
Damien was impressed by how observant the girl was but that wasn't the time to appreciate. He'd better act quick else he would put them all in danger. Or has he already put them?!
"Listen everyone!!!"
He called their attention.
"In about one minute and few seconds, something extraordinary is about to happen."
He took a pause.
"I really can't guarantee what would happen. I can't say word for word. But like I said, I'll keep you all safe. I've given my word."
"Why does he keep saying that... so full of himself."
