Daddy novel Chapter 34

"Tell him not to come. I'm fine," I said. My mood instantly drop. I don't wanna see him. I miss him but still. I can't seem to see him.

"I told him you're okay. Your daddy is very worried about you." Rey sigh. "It's good that he took good care of you without me. Even though I still can't accept that your mommy gave you to him," Rey started getting emotional. I didn't know where this conversation is going but I'm not comfortable talking about it. "I'm sorry this happened to you. I'm grateful to your father and he raised you well." I tried not to roll my eyes. If you only knew Rey. He takes care of me every night. I just lost a few days with a replacement! Just thinking about it made my blood boil.

"Matutulog naako," I said. Not wanting to hear another praise from Marco. He's a douche. A lying bastard.

I fell asleep. I was so tired and my body aches. I didn't like the hospital food, it makes me want to throw up just fine and Tita is there. She makes a good food. I have not went to Italy or how long it takes to get back here, I just hate the fact that I was annoyingly waiting for him. It seems like my heart and body wants to see him. My mind doesn't. I hate him.

I was alone in the hospital bed when I heard a commotion outside. My reflexes were good and fast and when I heard the door open I pretended to be asleep.

I can immediately tell that it's him. His expensive cologne filled the room, it made me intoxicated. "I want my Phoebe transfer to a more reliable hospital. I already contacted the family doctor, tomorrow kukunin ko na sya." He commands. "I want a second opinion from another doctor. Baka may nakaligtaan sila, there are possibility that that damn knife might be rusty. Did she get vaccinated? I want her thoroughly examined, I've also contacted the FBI and investigator. I'll fucking kill that man who hurt my baby!" Kinumot ko ang kumot, I so wanted to see what was going on. I almost flinch when his warm hand made contact on my skin.

"Phoebe! Oh no, no, no baby... what did they do to you?" hinawakan nya ang kamay ko. "Why is her skin pale, and cold? She's showing a sign of hypovolemic or hemorrhage shock. Napa CT scan naba sya? What about blood transfusion? Fluids? Antibiotics? She didn't get laparotomy, did she? She'll be alright, yes? What did the doctor says? Tell me!"

"Baby... Don't worry. Daddy's here," he kissed my head.

"Marco. I know you're worried about Pho--"

"Of course I'm fucking am!" Galit na sabi ni Marco.

"I'm also investigating the case--"

"It still isn't enough! I want to find and pay that mother-in-law as soon as possible!"

"Me too," Rey said calmly. "Do what you want to do. All I want is to take care of my son in my powder. Phoebe has been deprived of me, I want to take on his responsibility as a real father."

"If you want Phoebe to get the best care, you have to hand her to me. I get that you want to recover, but your body can't yet to protect her from danger. Look what happen to her now. A stab can lead to more damage Rey. He could have hypothermia, heart attack, gangrene or worst. " Marco said stiffly. Noooo! I wanted to shout. "I'm not here to offend you Rey. You told me they made a mistake in giving information about her diet. I'm still contemplating whether to sue that nurse or not."

"Where is that boy who saw the incident? I'll have him investigated as well as the people who saw it. Pwede ko bang kausapin ang bata?" Marco ask.

Rey was silent. I don't want to go with Marco. I'm fine, the doctor said I can leave after 5 days. The wound is not very deep. He's overreacting. I wanna open my eyes now but I can't seem to find the courage to do it yet.

My heart melts when I heard Kael's crying. He must've been so guilty and scared. "Wag kang umiyak. Baka magising ate mo," I heard tita says.

Kael tried to stifle his cry. I made a move. I don't want him to intrigue Kael. "What's happening?" I ask pretending not to know what was going on.

"Baby!"

"Ate!"

"Look what you did boy! You woke him up," he said irritated. He even blamed Kael, he was the one who shouted earlier!

"Ate!" Kael run up to me and hug me. He was careful not to touch my wound.

"Baby, are you okay sweetheart?" he brush my hair. Our eyes met. Oh, I so wanted to punch his handsome face. But I miss him so. He seems different though. I feel distant towards him. Agad akong nag-iwas ng tingin.

"Why are you here? I thought your in Italy," with your woman. I wanted to add. But there are people.

"Kael, what happened to you? Who made you cry?" I ask stopping him from talking. Bumaling ako kay Kael. His adorable face was filled with tears. I knew who made you cry. And his an assholes. "Don't cry. Ate's here. I'll chop their head if someone made you cry again." I said with warning and I meant the other head. Between the legs.

In my peripheral vision, I saw Marco clenching his jaw.

"Can you leave us for a minute? I wanna talk to Phoebe in private," he said glaring at the people in the room.

"I'm tired. I wanna sleep. Whatever you want to say, you can tell me later." I said in dismissive tone.

"Is there something wrong baby? Are you mad at me?" Marco can't help but ask. My feet feels so cold. Why does man pretend they did nothing wrong?

"No. Gusto ko lang magpahinga," I tiredly says. Go figure out what's the problem. I wanted to add but I keep my mouth sealed.
