"Who the hell is this girl Christian? I can not believe it. How can you let a human enter this party and stand by your side?"

Suddenly Jane's gaze collided with my still frame standing beside Christian, and a disgusted look immediately covered her face. I looked at her with confusion on my face. Bending my head a bit sideways, I sniffed myself, trying to check if there was any nasty smell coming off me, disgusting the people near me. Thankfully, there was none. I had used the perfume that was given by the makeup girl.

Before I could ask any questions to Jane, she scrunched her nose up in a nasty snarl, and spat,

"Who the hell is this girl Christian? I can not believe it. How can you let a human... oh God. How can you let someone like her enter in this party and stand by your side?"

Her audacity baffled me. What kind of woman was she? Talking to me like this, saying things about me without even knowing me? I was standing right in front of her, staring into her eyes, and she had the nerve to spat shit about me right in front of my eyes? I had expected Christian to defend me, or at the very least, give her a piece of mind. Anything that would prove that he was with me in this all, that he had his reasons for kidnapping me and he was going to discuss them all with me. But what he said next, just crushed my expectations to tiny broken pieces.

Christian's expression got filled with the same disgust that I had just seen on Jane's face while his eyes came to collide with mine,

"Unfortunately, she is my mate, Jane. I have to bear her for the rest of my life." Christian said, without even a flinch or a hitch of hesitation in his voice.

An extremely shocked took over Jane's face for a minute but then she readjusted her face to the previously happy one, gave a smirk, and said in a sickly sweet tone,

"Are you serious, Christian?" Jane asked with fake sympathy in her sickly sweet tone, "Awe.. you poor baby. This is so bad. You are stuck with a human for the whole lifetime. A weak, vulnerable and useless mate."

I just kept staring at Jane as she spat garbage about me out of her mouth. But more than that the thing that astonished me was that Christian did not even utter a sound of disapproval while Jane continued without flinching,

"But now when you have found your mate, I think there is no work for me here huh?" While saying this, I noticed, Jane's one hand slid down, up on Christian's thigh, and then grabbed his manhood over his pants.

I lump roused up in my throat and I knew I was gonna puke. Honestly, at that moment I preferred puking on her, controlling that urge was very, very difficult.
