Flashback...

He was locked in his room for the last two weeks. He was depressed and broken. Everything in the room was broken in pieces and he was sitting by a wall in a disheveled state. Tears were flowing freely from those captivating eyes. He was feeling pain everywhere in his body. Especially in his heart that was broken so brutally by Ava.

He still couldn't believe Ava was unfaithful to him. Even after loving her with everything he had, he was betrayed by her. His dad was right after all all those times when he said Ava was stabbing a knife on his back.

He wouldn't have trusted his dad when he said that Ava was pregnant with Kai's child if he hasn't seen the proof on his own and confirmed it. He was so confident that Ava was innocent. He was ready to punch his own dad when he accused Ava.

But then he saw the proof. Her medical report which clearly stated that Ava was 3 weeks pregnant. His heart was beating so frantically at that moment because he wasn't in the pack house for one month. He was at war.

But he wasn't ready to believe it. He couldn't believe Ava could do something like that to him. He didn't believe his dad nor that report. He stomped inside the pack hospital to talk to the doctor.

He barely stopped himself from breaking down in front of everyone when the doctor confirmed that the report was true.

He was broken and distressed. Wasn't he enough for her?

But then a thought clouded his mind. Him carried her forcefully in the pack house. Forcing her to live her life with him. All those times when he made her cry. So that was her payback to him?

He couldn't grasp the fact around his head. His whole body was buzzing and burning in anger. Then he did what she did to him. He slept with another woman and fucked her.

He saw her standing on the doorstep of the room. Tears stained face and pain filled eyes were all he could see. But he wasn't ready to fall in that trap once again. She was a good actress. So good that she made his whole life look like a drama.

And then the dam broke. He unleashed his anger on her. When their eyes met for the last time, he wished she would die a very painful death for breaking him from inside. She would suffer the pain she gave him.

After some days the mate bond broke. He knew she was dead because it was the only possible way in that situation to break the bond. That's when his soul died. He was an empty shell. He didn't mean it when he wished her dead. Now he was so deep in remorse that he couldn't even lift his head in front of a mirror to look at the horrible person that he was.

Now he was here. Broken from inside out. Sitting near the wall covered in dirt and blood. He broke everything with his own hands. He broke the bed that reminded him of her soft body and he broke the mirror that reminded him of her beautiful face. Everything was in pieces along with his heart.

But then he heard some voices coming from the hall. The voices were loud. A woman and man. They were fighting. It was the middle of the night. Something inside him was buzzing and telling him to check what was going on.

He opened his door and walked downstairs but then halted on the steps when he saw that it was the pack doctor Laila and his dad.

"Let me meet him, Alpha." Laila said while trying to sidestep his dad. "I can't break someone's home to save mine."

His dad's face was showing anger. "Keep your voice low, woman." He snapped. "Don't forget I'm your Alpha. And you're not going anywhere. Your work is done. Now forget whatever happened and get lost from here. I don't want Christian to hear us."

Christian backed a bit in the shadows so that they couldn't see him. His heart was thudding. What was going on?

"I don't fucking care." She shouted. "I don't care about a damn selfish man who thinks more about his stupid fake reputation more than his son's happiness , Alpha or not , you're the lowest man I've ever seen in my life."

In next second she was up against the wall by her throat. Gasping for breath.

An image clouded Christian's mind. It was of his mother and father. In the same position that he was seeing the doctor and his dad. His own 5 years old toddler self was seeing the beating of his mother. His dad's harsh words to his mom. Accusing her of letting him down in front of other alphas by defying his order.
