Mariela had been upset the night before and slept late. Waking up early without enough sleep annoyed her, even though she usually wasn’t grouchy in the morning. 

She got out of bed, put on her fluffy slippers, and went to open the door. 

Opening the door, Mariela yawned and asked lazily, “Who is it?” 

She rubbed her sleepy eyes and saw Jaime’s annoying face. 

Jaime held a bag, smiling widely, “Mariela, I brought you breakfast. You have low blood sugar, remember to eat.” 

“What is wrong with you?” Mariela’s anger roused her fully, and she unleashed her fury on him instantly. 

Jaime remained calm. He raised the bag, saying, “Here’s your favorite sandwich and cupcake.” 

“Bang.” 

Mariela shut the door, blocking out his annoying face. 

Jaime paused, his smile freezing. 

He knocked loudly, shouting, “Mariela, open the door! You can be mad at me, you can hate me, but don’t starve yourself. At least take the breakfast inside, okay?” 

Mariela was angry. 

Why was he so persistent? 

She shouted from the door, Jaime, go away! If you keep bothering me, I’ll call the police!” 

The voice outside stopped. 

After a moment, Jaime said, I’ve left the breakfast at your door. Remember to eat it later.” 

Mariela rolled her eyes and went back to her room to try to sleep more. 

With thoughts in her mind, it was hard to fall asleep again. 

She lay in bed, tossing and turning, unable to sleep. Mariela sighed, rubbed her hair irritably, and got up to go to the bathroom. 

Meanwhile, 

Lennon’s black Maybach parked at the entrance of Eclipse Apartments. 

After last night’s events, it was a sensitive time. Lennon didn’t want attention, so he used a discreet Maybach. 

He got out, followed by a bodyguard in a black suit. At Mariela’s building, Lennon said calmly,“Wait here.” 

The bodyguard nodded. “Copy that.” 

Lennon walked to Mariela’s door and knocked. 

No response. 

He knocked a few more times patiently. 

“Jaime, are you done? I’ll call the police!” Mariela opened the door and shouted irritably. 

Lennon was stunned. 

Their eyes met. 

A puzzled look appeared in Lennon’s deep gaze.“Jaime?”
