“Yes!” Mariela nodded, her nose feeling a bit sout. “Then I’ll bring some cosmetics and give you a beautiful makeover tomorrow.” 

“Okay Jessie smiled. 

In the hallway, Lennon was talking on the phone with Matthew. 

Matthew said, “Sir, there is news from Italy that they have met with Mr. Olson. In the coming days, they will discuss and develop a specific plan 

to seize Nikolas‘ project.”

After Matthew reported some other work to Lennon, Lennon hung up the phone and pushed the door back into the ward. 

Mariela and Jessie were talking about something, both of them looking very happy.

Mariela seemed to not have realized it. She asked him blankly, “What did you say?” 

Lennon said gently, “We have found a matching bone marrow. Jessie’s illness will be cured.” 

Mariela’s expression changed constantly. Tears of joy welled up in her eyes. 

She wiped away her tears and grabbed Jessie’s hand excitedly, crying and laughing.“Jessie, did you hear it? They have found a matching bone marrow. You will be saved!” 

Jessie stood there, her eyes red and vacant.“Is that true?” 

Mariela’s eyes were filled with tears as she choked out, “There is hope! I told you not to give up. You will be cured!” 

“Great!” Jessie’s eyes shimmered with tears as she murmured, “My brother needn’t worry about me anymore.” 

It was so great. 

Mariela’s days of sadness were swept away. 

On the way back, she held Lennon’s hand and chattered incessantly until they returned to the apartment, and she was still
