After returning from Bormio, Jaime was diagnosed with severe depression and had to be hospitalized for treatment. 

During this period, many people came to see him. 

But Mariela didn’t. 

Whenever someone opened the door to the ward, Jaime would hold his breath nervously and gaze eagerly at the door. 

But every time, he would disappointedly lower his eyes and slump his shoulders. 

From dawn until dusk, he had been waiting for the person he wanted to see. 

Jaime’s heart ached, and he thought desperately that Mariela would never come back again.

He had Mariela on his mind all the time, thinking Mariela didn’t want him anymore and Mariela would never come back.

“It really hurt, Mariela. 

“My heart really hurts.” 

The caregiver was terrified and rushed out, shouting for help. 

The doctors and nurses quickly arrived. 

Jaime was pushed into the emergency room. 

Perla cried her heart out in the hallway. 

“What a disaster! It’s such a disaster! Jay, why are you so foolish?” 

When Mariela received Perla’s call, she just came out of the hospital. 

It was minus five degrees outside. Mariela got into the car and turned on the heater for a while. Her phone rang. 

“Hello?” 

It was an unfamiliar number. 

“Mariela, please come to the hospital and see Jay. Jay attempted suicide because of you. After a difficult rescue, the doctors say he has lost his will to live. It was my fault for what happened before, and I apologize. Can you please save Jay? He is my only son!” 

Mariela was stunned.
