Mariela’s face flushed even more, and she hesitantly murmured, “Yes.” 

Bryce looked at Marie with a hint of amusement and asked, “Do I look like such a narcissist?”

Mariela explained anxiously, “I didn’t mean that. I heard from Fiona and Caylee that many girls liked you, but you rejected all of them. I thought you might be disgusted with the opposite sex having a crush on you because there are too many girls who like you. I’m afraid you’ll misunderstand me and refuse to partner with me.
