you do it on purpose?” Mariela blushed, this time out of embarrassment. 

That had been a complete accident! She hoped Bryce didn’t think she and Lennon had been sneaking kisses in the office. 

She wasn’t afraid that Bryce would feel upset. She just didn’t want others to misunderstand her relationship with Lennon now, no matter who it was. 

Lennon tilted his head slightly and looked at her.“What?” 

“You must have done it on purpose!” Mariela gritted her teeth.“You moved closer so I’d kiss you. You knew the lipstick was there, and you let Bryce see it on purpose, didn’t you?” 

Lennon shrugged and a smile played on his lips.“I did want a kiss, but I really didn’t know I had lipstick on.” 

“You’re pretending,” Mariela snorted coldly. “If you didn’t know, why did you smile at Bryce just 

now?” 

Lennon looked innocent.“Did I? I wasn’t trying to smile. I was just happy after kissing you, baby. It made me smile.” 

“Lennon!” Mariela had had enough. She grabbed a pack of tissues from her desk and threw them at him. 

Lennon caught it with a quick reflex. “Hey, I’m right here!” 

He grinned, his eyes sparkling with amusement. 

“Who’s your baby? Don’t call me that. I hate people who are so flippant!” Mariela glared at him, pointing at the door.“Get out now!” 

“Alright,” Lennon said, seeing that the papers in his hand were all shredded. He obediently headed for the door.“You can call me for more chores anytime.” 

Mariela was furious.“Go!” 

As Lennon stepped out of the office, he ran into Gia. 

“Hello, Mr. Stark,” Gia greeted Lennon with a smile, but she suddenly paused when she noticed the lipstick on his lips. 

“Hello,” Lennon was in a great mood. 

“Mr. Stark, you…” Gia hesitated with her words. 

Lennon was well aware that the lipstick on his lips had been noticed. 

But he pretended to know nothing, nodded slightly, and walked away. 

Gia’s eyes suddenly lit up with a gleam of curiosity.
