The slightly shorter guy quickly caught up. 

The guy held a knife and stabbed viciously at Hailie with a fierce look in his eyes. 

Mariela didn’t think much and pushed Hailie aside to fight the criminal. 

Hailie was pushed and sat on the grass nearby, watching Mariela fight the criminal. She was shocked to see Mariela so good at fighting. 

But this wasn’t the time to be surprised. She was scared to death, her face pale, and her ankle hurt, with sweat beads on her forehead. 

Gía rushed over to help her.“Ms. Foster, we gotta go quickly.” 

Hailie’s face was white, and she said painfully, “I can’t walk on my feet.” 

“I’ll support you.” 

Gia helped Hailie stand up and immediately took out her phone to call the police. 

Someone had already called the police from the roadside.

Luckily, Haylee arrived in time. Otherwise, it would have been a disaster. 

With that distance and angle, Mariela could avoid a fatal blow to the heart, but she couldn’t avoid getting stabbed completely. The dagger might truly stab into her body. 

If she got stabbed and hurt, the pain would slow down her reflexes and make her less agile, and she’d be unable to fight off the man’s attack.
