"Grab the perpetrator and give her a taste of her own medicine, just like she did to the young girl," Isaac said, leaning with one hand on the cold kitchen counter. His elbow rested on the edge as he tapped lightly a few times. The cold white light from the wall lamp cast a chilly glow on his arm.

His voice was icier and more menacing than a villain in a horror movie. "Pay her back tenfold."

"Yes, sir," the person on the other end of the line replied, hesitating slightly before adding, "Sir, that girl named Louise seems to have a pretty good relationship with young master Nash..."

"So what?"

Those three frosty words sent a shiver down the subordinate's spine. He immediately got Isaac's drift and didn't dare say another word. He respectfully hung up.

Isaac lowered his hand, still holding the phone, and slowly closed his eyes. The news of the young girl being kidnapped had genuinely shaken him. To him, Fiona was like a little sister, and being all alone in Cedarvale, he felt responsible for looking after her.

Meanwhile, Fiona had no clue what Isaac was plotting. She was on the phone with Easton.

"Boss, the whole city's police are out in full force, saying someone important got kidnapped," Easton said, sipping his drink. "Could it be that besides you, there's another big shot in Cedarvale?"

His curiosity was piqued. He'd been digging around for a while but hadn't uncovered anything.

Fiona gave him a silent glance, too lazy to reveal that she was the 'important person' who had been kidnapped. If Mikey found out, Baker and the others would too, and her cover might be blown, which would be a hassle.

"Enough about that. How’s the person you were looking for?"

With Mikey away, she had sent him to handle the grunt work.

"Found them," Mikey said seriously. "They're at Cedarvale’s nursing home. Boss, you want to check it out?"

Fiona rubbed her chin. "Alright, pick me up after class tomorrow."

"Got it."

"Got it." Fiona nodded and waved goodbye to Jackson as she walked into Westbrook High School.

She made it to class nine just in time, and everyone was already there when she arrived. Nash was among them.

Seeing Fiona, they all swarmed her with excitement and relief.

"Flora!"

"Flora, you're back! Are you okay, Flora?"

Her sudden disappearance the day before had really scared them.

"I'm fine," Fiona said, casually setting down her backpack. "I'm fine, but the people responsible? They're not gonna be."

She wasn't one to let things slide; she was more of an 'eye for an eye' kind of person. Being unexpectedly kidnapped? She wasn't about to let the instigator off the hook.
