Lina and Ann still dutifully followed behind Lindsey.

After Lindsey got into the car, she suddenly asked, "Are you guys always in contact with Zayn?"

The two looked at each other before slowly nodding their heads.

"Then where is he now?"

Lina replied, "Young Master is at the office now."

Next to her, Ann asked, "Should we go over?"

Lindsey thought about it but decided not to.

She waved her hand and signaled to go home.

The old man came back from visiting some friends and saw Lindsey sitting in the living room, leisurely scrolling through her phone.

Zayn had not returned to the Guggenheim mansion for two or three days since he left that morning.

The old man was aware of what Zayn was doing, but no one told Lindsey nor did she take the initiative to ask.

Probably in her heart, Lindsey acquiesced that Zayn was taking care of Jenny in the hospital.

The old man did not want to tell Lindsey about the company’s problems these days lest she was troubled by it.

He looked at the time, then looked at Lindsey. There was a flash of light in his clear eyes. "Lindsey, do you want to go to the hospital to take a look?"

Lindsey's gaze moved away from her phone. "Grandpa, what's the point of going to the hospital?"

The old man sighed. "You're Zayn's wife. Now that Zayn has been saved by someone else, you should go and see her. It's basic courtesy."

Lindsey then shook her head. "I don't want to go."

She was honest about it.

The old man walked up and sat next to Lindsey, then said in a serious voice, "If you don't go, it means you still don’t think of yourself as Zayn's wife. Lindsey, listen to Grandpa. You must go and keep your head held high."

"Grandpa, it's not appropriate for me to go. If Zayn knows about it, he’ll be very angry." Speaking of Zayn, Lindsey thought of the image she saw on TV that day where he held the bloodied Jenny Lenig in his arms. She could feel the anxiety on his face through the TV.

This also gave Lindsey more clarity on who Zayn’s true love was.

"That little brat! If he dares to get angry, I’ll break his legs!" The old man's eyebrows twitched.

Lindsey knew that Grandpa was trying to help her. Seeing that he was so determined, she could not refuse him and conceded.

The old man called Lina and Ann in front of him before they left the house. He did not think there was anything wrong with Zayn's move to have someone follow Lindsey. Instead, he appreciated Lina and Ann.

After instructing them, the old man took a sip of tea, and with a wave of his hand, he sent Lindsey off to the hospital.

Zayn appeared at the hospital on time, causing a wave of girly screams and longing stares.

He sat on the sofa of the ward in silence as usual. Compared to Jenny’s attentiveness, the indifference on his face became more prominent.

When Jenny saw his fatigue face frowning from the moment he entered, she asked worriedly, "Zayn, are things at the company bothersome?"

The word "mistress" plucked Jenny's nerves. If not for Zayn's presence, she would have pounced on Lindsey and tore her apart.

Lindsey looked at Lina and Ann who were following behind her and signaled for them to put down the fruit basket and supplements they were carrying.

"Since you're alive and well, I'll leave first." After saying that, Lindsey walked out of the room. When she got to the door, she stopped and said, "Oh, just another reminder. Some things just don’t belong to you, so it’s useless to hog it now. It’ll be better for you to realize your identity earlier."

Lindsey came and left quickly. All this while, she did not even care to look at Zayn like he was invisible.

Jenny was furious at Lindsey's sarcasm and was just about to complain to Zayn when he suddenly said, "I'm leaving."

"Zayn..." Jenny grudgingly called his name, but the man did not even look at her and directly closed the door behind him.

Outside the ward. Zayn walked swiftly and saw that Lindsey was about to leave the hospital, then strode over to catch up to her.

Lindsey walked out in a huff. Thinking about the scene in the ward, she felt frustrated and hurt. She should not have come today.

If she had not come, she could still have a slight illusion about Zayn.

However, at that moment, a human wall suddenly appeared in front of her, blocking her path.

A familiar scent surrounded Lindsey, which made her heart fluttered. ‘Shouldn't he be in the ward with Jenny? Why would he leave his beloved woman behind to chase after me?’

Those unrealistic thoughts appeared in her mind again, but when she thought about his actions earlier, she suppressed the momentary delight in her heart.

‘Lindsey Juhl, everything’s an illusion. Don’t overthink this! Stop making the same mistake, else you really are a fool!’

The man's gloomy voice sounded from above her head, “Lindsey Juhl, do you dare to repeat what you said just now?”
