"Here, open your mouth." The nurse's gentle voice sounded in Lindsey’s ears again and Lindsey cooperated by opening her mouth. The nurse used a swab to get saliva samples from the inside of her mouth.

Lindsey was already used to having her body examined from time to time, but she was still a little nervous when she thought about the purpose of this examination.

Shaun took her to a villa in his name, which was located in a neighborhood with only a few residents. It was also far from the city center.

At the moment, the two of them were in a private hospital with excellent confidentiality. Shaun had also asked his classmate from his days studying abroad to help Lindsey with a full physical.

"The results will be out tomorrow, so just come back to pick them up then."

Lindsey nodded, got dressed, and walked out. Shaun was waiting for her outside.

"Yvette said she wants to meet you. Do you want to see her?"

Lindsey actually did not feel like meeting anyone else. After thinking about it, she shook her head. After all, she was not close to Yvette. Lindsey had been staying with Shaun for the past two or three days and would call the old man every day.

Her original phone was accidentally dropped into the water by the maid at the Wilford Residence, so Shaun bought a new one for her.

Lindsey only needed to contact a few people and was trying to avoid Zayn every day. When she heard about this unmistakably fishy excuse, she did not say anything and silently accepted it.

Of course, she did not know that her phone had been equipped with anti-monitoring software.

Mrs. Wendy had asked her on several occasions, "Did you go somewhere else again? Why aren't you coming back yet?"

Lindsey helplessly replied, "No, I've been here for a few days. Please take good care of yourself and Grandpa."

The good thing was that Zayn did not tell anyone in the mansion that he lost Lindsey for fear of worrying the old man, so the old man was not at all suspicious.

In fact, Lindsey was a little anxious at the moment.

Shaun was driving as Lindsey tapped on her phone, wanting to call Zayn.

Lindsey just did what she wanted.

Shaun watched as she put the phone to her ear and asked while keeping an eye on the road, "Who are you calling?"

Lindsey had nothing to hide and said bluntly, "Zayn."

Shaun's steering wheel slipped for a moment. "Are you crazy? Why are you calling him?"

"To tell him I'm fine and that I'll be back in a few days so he won’t be worried," Lindsey answered as a matter-of-fact.

That was probably because she had disappeared once and after she came back, everyone around Zayn emphasized how crazy Zayn became after she disappeared. Lindsey somehow did not want Zayn to go through the same thing again.

The call was still being connected, but after a few rings, it was abruptly hung up.

That was when Lindsey realized that she had changed to a new phone and a new number, so Zayn would not know who she was. Thus, it was normal for him not to answer when he saw an unfamiliar number.

However, Lindsey insisted on getting through to him.

She dialed his number again. Quentin looked at the string of numbers in his hand, thought about it, and picked up.

"Quentin? I'm looking for Zayn." Lindsey somehow knew that the person who answered the phone was not Zayn and spoke directly.

Zayn's eyes were cold as he reached out to grab his phone.

With that glance, Quentin calmed himself down and spoke much more eloquently, "Young Madam just called. She just hung up when you opened the door."

Seeing the change in expression of the misanthrope in front of him, Quentin hurriedly finished the rest of his words. "President, the Young Madam said that she’s fine and that she’ll be back in a while."

Zayn stepped forward and grabbed Quentin's collar. "What did you say?" His expression was surprisingly vicious.

Quentin said loudly, "Young Madam just called and told you not to look for her. She's fine now."

He was nearly strangled to death and finally finished his sentence choppily.

Zayn loosened his grip and scrolled through the call records. He only saw a string of numbers and dialed it again, but it would not get through.

"Find a way to trace this number and get its location."

Quentin wanted to persuade Zayn not to look for her since she said so herself. However, he thought about it and swallowed his words. If Zayn did not see Lindsey for himself, he would go crazy.

After hanging up the phone, Lindsey let out a sigh of relief. She said, "It wasn’t Zayn. His assistant answered the phone."

Shaun looked even more nervous than her. She did not know where his nervousness came from.

He already knew that Lindsey was pregnant and that Zayn did not know about it, so he looked at Lindsey and suddenly asked, "Linds, are you sure you don't want this baby?"

Lindsey’s smile faded. Before she could say anything, Shaun’s phone suddenly rang.
