Lindsey Juhl went back to her desk to pack up her things. By then, her desk mates had already left.

She thought of seeing Grandpa later and after looking at the nearby mall, she decided to buy him a gift. After all, the old man was one of the few people in the world who was genuinely nice to her.

Lindsey chose a new walking cane. It was certainly not as expensive as the one the old man used, but it was very handy.

The sales lady smiled politely and asked, "Miss, should I wrap it up for you?"

"Yup, please send it to the Guggenheim mansion."

When the sales lady heard the words “Guggenheim mansion”, her smile became more sincere.

Zayn had previously dumped a credit card on her, but she had never used it. She would also never use it to buy Grandpa’s gift.

She took out her wallet and thought, ‘Looks like I’ll have to eat grass for the rest of the month!’

After she left the store, she saw two people walking towards her and felt that the world was truly too small.

Jenny’s voice was very gentle when she said, "Zayn, my feet hurt. Let's find a place to sit down."

She held Zayn's arm as she pouted while ignoring the displeasure on Zayn’s face and whined, "You said you wanted to take me for Japanese food. Let’s go today then!"

After she saw Lindsey, the smile on her face quickly turned into a sneer.

Zayn initially wanted to shrug off Jenny’s hand, but when he looked up and saw Lindsey standing not far away, he froze and pulled her hand tighter.

Jenny felt the change in Zayn’s movement and the fact that they were in front of Lindsey like this made her undoubtedly happy.

Lindsey muttered under her breath as the couple walked up to her, "I must be cursed!"

Seeing that Lindsey was about to avoid them, Jenny suddenly pulled Lindsey as she passed by her.

"Isn't this Ms. Juhl? Why are you here shopping alone?"

Jenny looked at Lindsey without blinking and she turned her smug face slightly to where Zayn could not see it.

Lindsey rolled her eyes in her mind and thought, ‘Well, my husband’s in your arms. That’s why I’m alone!’

In the end, Lindsey smiled innocently and said, "Ms. Lenig, what I do is none of your business, right? If you don’t have anything else, can you let go of me? I still have to go back to accompany Grandpa for dinner."

Jenny was shaken by Lindsey’s smile.

Lindsey shrugged away Jenny’s hand and went to the bathroom as she did not want to see the couple any longer. Throughout the confrontation, Lindsey did not once glance at Zayn.

The man's hand that was on his side gradually clenched into a fist.

Jenny leaned towards Zayn’s ear and said, "Zayn, I want to go to the bathroom."

Zayn was still thinking about Lindsey and did not pay attention to what Jenny said.

Lindsey truly admired Jenny’s persistence as she did not expect Jenny to follow her into the bathroom.

This woman was not good at anything else, but she was great at giving her a hard time. She was also extraordinarily persistent.

Jenny asked while she was washing her hands, "Why did you run away as soon as you saw me and Zayn?"

Seeing that Lindsey ignored her question, Jenny added, "Zayn said he would take me for Japanese later. I feel sorry for you. Your husband doesn’t care about you, yet you still cling to him. If it were me, I would die from the shame."

She said this to provoke Lindsey.

Lindsey tried to endure it, but she could not stand it any longer and snapped, “I don’t know who’s the one stubbornly clinging to another person’s husband. I truly admire your ability to be a mistress.”

She finished washing her hands and dried them with a paper towel, then continued, “I can’t wait to divorce him, but Zayn is the one that keeps refusing, so what can I do?”

Lindsey glared at Jenny who had followed her in. She could smell Jenny’s strong perfume, which made her nauseous.

Jenny stood up and wanted to chase after him, but he walked extremely fast as if he was chasing after someone and she simply could not catch up.

Seeing that he had already gone downstairs and disappeared, Jenny was so angry that she viciously threw her purse to the ground.

It was peak hour as everyone got off work. This was also the city center and there were many people around, so Lindsey stood by the roadside for a long time and still did not manage to get a taxi.

Lindsey was just thinking about taking the subway or the bus when a striking silver sports car suddenly stopped in front of her.

The windows were down and Zayn's face was half exposed as he said, "Get in."

Lindsey did not pay any attention to him. When she noticed him staring at her, she took a few steps to the side.

Zayn was determined to follow her and moved wherever she went. He was also getting impatient.

"Don't make me say it a second time."

Lindsey knew that he was impatient and crossed her arms as she asked, "Weren’t you having dinner with Jenny Lenig?"

Zayn glanced at her. The meaning in his eyes was self-evident.

"Your Highness, you’ll make people misunderstand if you don't accompany your pretty mistress for dinner and ask me to get in the car."

Lindsey saw his face and could not help but diss him.

"Lindsey Juhl, are you jealous?"

Zayn asked out of the blue. Even though his eyes were still cold, the gloom had already disappeared.

"Zayn Guggenheim, you must be dreaming."

Lindsey avoided Zayn's gaze and pretended to keep an eye out for a taxi. She simply did not want him to see the real emotions in her eyes.
